Some other threads discussing the Freddie Box , so got me thinking as i recently purchased The Complete Works on ebay , i was staggered that i won the auction fro UK £29 including free postage , i noticed it is stamped on the inside 007410 so i guess thats my unique number but how many got released ??

Strange that it has 00 at the beginning, giving a possible 999,999 copies, maybe it was100,000 copies, or no point in having the extra zero at the beginning. (but saying that, we are talking EMI & QPL, so I suppose anything goes)
checked again and it starts 00 so guess the box is somewhat not as rare as first thought but its sitting proudly next to box of tricks and the solo collection , just awaiting the company of maybe a Queen anthology box of some sort.
I remember queuing outside HMV in Oxford Street in London in 1985 with about ten other fans to get hold of this box set. This was the only place that were selling the 'signed' copies, and I thought there were not many people here, so I will definately get one.
The autographs looked great too - on each corner of the 13th LP 'Complete Vision'. 200 copies were signed and I think they cost about £65 at the time.
I think the 00 start to the number was probably left as 00 as a prefix to the actual number made.
