Recently someone has told me that a recording of the Seattle 7/1/80 concert exists. He says it is titled "Hello Motherfuckers" after what Freddie said at the concert. Does anyone know anything about this?
Perhaps you can ask the one what makes him sure about that and from where this information reached him.
I never heared about that what doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

1) People say a lot of things, mainly to get attention
2) There is no such bootleg as "Hello Motherfuckers"
3) People create names for their recordings, but it doesn't make them bootlegs, because..
4) Not all unreleased recordings are automatically bootlegs. It's only a bootleg if a bootleg company sells it
5) If there is no sample, then put two and two together.
Ask him for a sample. If this person makes any excuse at all without the utmost interest in getting you the sample, 99.9% chance it doesn't exist.
Ok thanks Bob. I'll ask him. I doubt this recording exists because it seems unlikely that someone would name a bootleg or recording "Hello Motherfuckers"

That isn't necessarily true by definition. A bootleg is produced by sneaking recording equipment in the "Legs of your Boots" into any venue and recording without consent. A private recording does not become a bootleg because someone decides to sell it.
I sneaked a camera into to Q+PR in Dublin 2005, Glasgow 2008 and London 2008. I am a Bootlegger, and those three recordings are Bootlegs.
Did I sell copies? Can you buy these anywhere? No.
I know people don't like the term Bootleg or Bootlegger, but we're all up to our necks in it, like it or not.

Those recordings are shared here, in one form or another. Not for popularity, but in effort to motivate others to share their recordings too. You don't really think people who have shared alot of material here do it for internet fame do you?

You're technically right on some level, but terminology has evolved amongst a fair portion of collectors. The word "bootleg" regarding music still carries a stigma from the 70s when the only way to obtain unauthorized recordings was to pay money to someone who was profiting from someone else's work. Today it has become a term used to distinguish said profiteers from those who are simply preserving music history in a way that it otherwise would be lost forever, with no revenue lost for the artist.

People can name a recording whatever they want. That isn't the issue here, as a tape certainly may exist from any Queen show. The point here is that pretending to have a recording is nothing new, and most of these claims can be pretty quickly rejected, especially when they refuse to share a sample for one reason or another.
I don't know...Bob might be right here. He could have named it Hello Mothefuckers but then why won't he tell me where it is? Obviously, it doesnt exist
