Dear Greg,
I won't criticize QPL or you, I simply want to ask some questions, and - that depends on you - this thread might be very valuable to all Queen fans.
Could you please tell me if there is any chance that the recording of the live performance of "White Christmas" in the 77' will be released ?
Also could you let us in on the QPL future plans ? Are there any gigs being remastered ? Is anything at all being prepared for the release apart from the Singles Collection vol. 4 ?
I suppose that everyone would be very grateful if you spare your time to answer those questions.
Cheers !
Ps: The idea to release all Queen albums in Poland in form of a book and taking music from possible new remasters was magnificent, and those prices. I am curious if it is possible to buy brand new queen album from any era for only 12 $.
Great topic! I am very curious!
I can imagine Greg is not at liberty to reveal any of the future released or plans. A shame as it would be great from a commercial point of view to get the fans in the loop from the very start of any new ideas.
As a graphic designer it is very important to get the views and opinions of the people who are experts of the product to come up with a unique and innovative new release. Especially when the 'product' does not produce any new material anymore.
I have noticed a lack of creativity in releases the past couple of years, which is very understandable, especially when, as far as I am aware, not everybody at QPL is on the same page of what should be released. I am sure there is much to learn from this and I see only great opportunities for future releases.
About the albums to be bought at around $12, here in Holland most music stores sell the normal releases for about this price.. no problem here, maybe in other countries this differs.
cheers!
Queen have a history of telling us what's coming out and then it never happens, so maybe it's best we NEVER know!!!!
Poor old Richard Gray has done so many designs for products that have never seen the ligt of day.
Despite being paid for them, it must be very frustrating for him!
I'm sure cashing the QP cheques salves Richard's frustration.
Wasn't the 1975 Hammersmith Odeon Christmas Eve concert announced, or at least discussed, a few years back? I know the video is incomplete, lacking the encore, but it would still be a great show to put out there. I have two bootlegs of it, a DVD and a CD, which I put on EVERY Christmas Eve.
The 1974 Rainbow Theatre (SHA Tour) show is ripe for a proper re-issue. The Box Of Tricks version is edited and re-arranged, though quite watchable. A full, unaltered, 5.1 remixed release would be sweet.
Something even earlier would be fantastic, if such a concert was fully recorded, like from the Queen or Queen II era, before the band had a pile of hits under its belt.
Absolutely no chance of the question regaiding "White Christmas" being answered or of Brooksy divulging the highly secretive plans of the esteemed QPL to we plebs.
He's far to important for that.
answer to each the question, you wont ever hear the songs again because greg books is fat loser to the archives ...... doesnt do his job, does nothing all day, and i have the inside information to back this all up.
Greg is not going to bother himself answering these questions. A lot of people have tried and failed over the years. I wouldnt entertain the prick by asking him.

Hell, I'd take even mono sound if it was the complete show.
