Apart from the bootlegged St. Paul and pro shot Paris concert, there should be more???!!!! |
| Luko255 27.06.2010 10:54 |
I don't know nothing about pro-shot footage from 1980, but one guy from link claimed he filmed one of London shows from 1980. But he didn't give any more informations, so it might not be true... |

I've heard that Greg Brooks has found a proshot show from 1980 that he completely forgot about... |

From what I've heard, there is no pro shot video footage of a live queen concert from 1980. Besides from the 2 songs released from the Munich gig, there is no pro shot video footage from 1978 either I believe. Same with 1984 |

by Munich do you mean the 1979 show? or the 1980? |

There is a couple of minutes from Paris 1980, it's on pittrek81 youtube account |

Recently I have found a local TV news item, with a few seconds of a 1980 US show, possibly San Diego or Inglewood. |

guild93 wrote: There is a couple of minutes from Paris 1980, it's on pittrek81 youtube accountUnfortunately in pretty bad quality, but it's the best quality I could find :-( I synchronized this video already with the correct audio but I'm searching for a better video first before I "release" it |

Also there are pro-shot concerts from 1984 too |

Perhaps? or maybe something completely out of the blue like a show from the west coast like Inglewood? or Oakland? A night from Madison Square Garden? |

by the way : i find it incredible that no fans from the US are transfering ANY of his / her vhs tapes for the 1973-86 years. 15 years ago trading lists were filled with US TV reports 77-84, and nobody cares to give us any proper transfer from those low generation tapes that surely exist in 100s of fans' collections. Shame really! |

That's quite sad. One would expect that with the influence of high speed internet the amount of shared videos will keep growing |

marvinp01 wrote: Apart from the bootlegged St. Paul and pro shot Paris concert, there should be more???!!!! there should be more in local TV stations archive , but that is the job of the official researcher. He should email every single local TV station in the cities where Queen performed and ask for possible news footage. |

pittrek wrote: That's quite sad. One would expect that with the influence of high speed internet the amount of shared videos will keep growing One would expect a growing amount, instead we see completely vanishing video collections, with lots of items which were common 10 years ago, and now only a few are able to offer -high gen- copies . The last time I was excited about Queen was when Poitiers 79 appeared last year, and it came from someone getting low resolution mpeg review copies from the french tv, not an unearthed tape ... |

We as a the queenzone community should take the initiative and become these so called researchers and obtain some unseen material from these TV studios in the cities where Queen has performed |

Miklos wrote: "One would expect a growing amount, instead we see completely vanishing video collections" Why don't you contribute something then? I'm sure you have plenty of things that would be appreciated by the QZ flock. Maybe an 8mm video from the 70s that hasn't quite leaked yet.. ? |

" I have just said i am wiling to put it up here on QZ a video that i unearthed from 1980 (even if its just seconds) - , and you start telling me to share '8mm' videos from the 70s. I am not willing to start THAT debate. Right here is simple the deal: As some of you know my main interest is videos. I am looking for Q+PR 2005-2008 Canadian TV interviews and appearances on DVD (and in DVD quality). I know there was a talent show, there was an interview on a TV (CME channel or something similar name??), etc. All been widely broadcast in Canada, but still none of these were shared in proper DVD format (the talent show was highly compressed avi). Send me on DVD (or share here) this stuff, and I put up the news item from 1980 to QZ. So at least there is some 'new' stuff for me in it, and some enjoyment, and a growing collection. I know there are many more Canadian fans here, not only referring to SirGH with this . |

Miklos says: "I know there was a talent show, there was an interview on a TV (CME channel or something similar name??), etc." I have a couple things you may be interested in from 2007. Drop me an email and we'll work something out. |

BTW, I did contribute earlier one of my similar findings here on QZ, that was 08/05/85, the first Tokyo night - tear it up video. - just to put the record straight. |
