I have some wav files of tracks that Audio Checker tells me are mp3 sourced. Is there anyway of telling the bitrate of the source track and converting back to mp3?
It's not a huge deal, but I am completly anal about these things and like to know exactly what I have.
Thanks
There is a possibility. You should star a new topic in Hydrogenaudio Forums.
Here is a thread link about CD from lossy source.
Members of Hydrogenaudio found it to be 48-kHz 192 kbps mp3 (as written in the second page).
I hope this helps.

I don't really need to convert back to mp3 I suspose. But if I don't want to send someone a lossless track when it isn't, i believe in being honest with people.
