--- Mini-review
In a change of location, Queen booked into Maida Vale Studios to record their penultimate BBC session As the previous month had seen the conclusion of the recording sessions for the Sheer Heart Attack album, the band revisited four tracks from that work. While the manic "Stone Cold Crazy" is only marginally different to the album version, Roger's vocal on "Tenement Funster" is more aggressive; though Freddie's delivery of "Now I'm Here" is less dynamic. The last-named's drum and bass guitar parts remain faithful to the standard version for the most part, though new guitar parts from Brian (which would later crop up in live shows) inject a welcomed element. "Tenement Funster" here, though musically identical to the Sheer Heart Attack cut, is further evidence, if any were needed, that Roger's voice is rather more substantial than merely a backing harmony/vocals tool. "Flick Of The Wrist" (the B-side to "Killer Queen") remains close to the Sheer Heart Attack version, but Freddie's voice sounds harsher than usual, perhaps hinting at the throat problems, which were to dog him throughout the 70s and 80s. The session was broadcast on November 4th, 1974, again on the Bob Harris show.--- Quote from link VERY SPECIAL THANKS TO JOHN S. STUART !!! Basic rules 1. NEVER try to "remaster" the recording and share it, KEEP THE AUDIO UNTOUCHED ! 2. NEVER ENCODE TO MP3 OR OTHER LOSSY FORMATS !!! I will search common mp3 sites to check if it appears in mp3 format somewhere ! 3. DO NOT SELL !!! - I know the common bootleg pages and I will check regularly if somebody will sell it ! Especially eBay ! 4. DO NOT BOOTLEG !!! - I will regularly check the various "bootleg encyclopaedias" and pray that this won't appear somewhere ! This is a very special gift from a famous Queen collector, so if you want to see more from his collection, don't you dare to NOT to obey the above mentioned rules ! If ANY of the rules will be broken by some idiot, I will NEVER share something again, I swear ! Other BBC sessions will (maybe) follow later, it depends on your reactions and the reactions of a "certain company" :-) Enjoy and please, accept the 4 rules ! Download link : link Enjoy and please, if the link says "temporarily unavailable" try to hit F5 every few minutes |

I feel the need to thank you for each of the sessions, as they are very exiting. I loved the session 6, it is even better than the album version, and that is saying something. Session five is much more similar to the album, but also interesting. I would be great if someone edited the tracks to cut the intros, so we can burn all in CDs. I'm waiting for the next, keep up the good work! |

hello?? |
The Real Wizard 27.08.2010 11:26 |
The sense of entitlement some people have.. they always want more and give nothing back. You didn't even say thank you for sessions 4-6. It will get shared if / when the owner of the recordings wants to share it. |
CESAR BELTRAN M 27.08.2010 11:59 |
well, thanks for your KIND reply. |
The Real Wizard 27.08.2010 14:10 |
