The best solo song? Barcelona or How Can I Go On.....But my favorite solo song? Man Made Paradise. I think Love Makin' Love could have been something great if completed.
Love 'Barcelona', 'How Can i Go On' and then i think 'There Must Be More To Life Than This ' is something really special to me.
Master Marathon Runner.

Poor Barbara Valnetin!
The Great Pretender.
After hearing this song over the radio, I went in search of the voice and ended up spending a lot of money collecting Queen and FM cds and videos. Luckily the bootlegs cost nothing except for the electricity, back up discs, two PCs and my time.

Do not like any of the dance material and opera material
he did.

Obviously you don't own his solo albums then. They aren't just "dance" or "opera".

I have "Mr. Bad Guy" on lp and it sucks. Dance crap.
I don't own "Barcelona", have not heard it all, but I don't like what I've heard,
so I have no interest in hearing the rest of it.
Other than that all there are are box sets and compilations that contain remixes, etc.,
of his two solo lps along with a few unreleased tracks.
The vast majority of his solo material was either dance oriented or opera oriented.
"Living on my own" as i was going through a messy divorce at the time and the song meant a lot to me.I used to play it over and over again[silly sod !]

My favorite is definitely "The Golden Boy".
I'm crazy about that song, it could even fit in a Queen album and I think it can be compared to "Somebody to Love".

i think he saved his best material for barcelona....and even mr. bad guy. That's why his songs on a kind of magic and the works were lacking. Mr. bad guy's problem wasn't the songs, it was the direction he took with those songs. Barcelona remains one of my favorite albums of all time. i wonder what Queen could have done with those songs. A real rock opera if you will.
When you say Freddie Mercury solo song, i understand composed by Freddie Mercury just, right?.
