As a Queen collector I own many bootleg cd's and vinyls and of course cdr's and flac concerts. But when it comes to the Sapporo show 29-10-82 I've noticed that on various bootlegs the venue name seems to be different.
I am wondering what was , is the correct venue of this show.
Venue names on bootlegs :
- GREEN DOME
- Hokkaidoritso Sangyo Kyoshinakajio stadium
- Hokkaidoritso Sangyo...
- Makomani Ice Arena
- Kukuso Tenjii
Which one is correct ? Most likely the Hokkaidoritso Sangyo Kyoshinakajio because it's mentioned most. But when you google it. You''ll find only queen related websites. So is it possible Queen was the only band ever which played this venue ? There is no additional information on this venue availeble on wikipedia or an other webiste.
Does anyone have the tourbook , which venue is mentioned in the tourbook ?
Nothing really important but I hope someone can provide me the correct answer ....
Hi Tcc,
Thanks for your answer. But my question is , is this vernue correct ? When you make a google search you won't find a result that proves that this venue does excist. At least with my google searches.
You'll only find info when you google this venue name about the Queen show in 1982, no other bands, no venue information etc.etc.
So is it the correct venue ? And does or did the venue excist ? Was it a arena , a stadium , of some land of grass...
According to Wikipedia, two venues in Sapporo look like the names you listed: link
Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center (Hokkaido-ritsu Sogo Taiiku Senta in Japanese) (capacity 8000)
Tsukisamu Green Dome (capacity 5000)
Both are indoor sport arenas.
I must say I've never read the Green Dome being the venue where Queen played in 1982. I guess the right venue is most likely the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center.
