Ooooopppps...... I posted the same info at the same time link
I only ever saw him once live in concert. That was on the Holy Diver tour, Great singer and entertainer.
I feel sick to my stomach right now.. I can't believe he's actually gone.. I saw him live last summer... Now I'll never see him again. At least we have his music, which will live on FOREVER.
Condolences going out to the Dio family and everyone in the Metal community, we lost one of the greatest...
R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio (10.07.1942 - 16. 05. 2010) .. A true Heavy Metal inspiration and legend.
\m/ \m/
as i said on my status: Dio, the only man to ever be in a band called Rainbow, and still be a badass, with no question.
one of the greatest metal voices immortalized.
\m/, heres to you, Dio.
this comes as big surprise and shock to me. i know they canceled heaven and hell tour this year but i was really hoping (i was almost positive) that ronnie is gonna beat cancer especially after his wife wendy said that cancer has shrunk a lot after his 7th chemo and that he is doing fine (it was diagnosed in early stage last year). i was certain ronnie would slay that dragon! he wasn't one of the best metal voices, he was THE BEST voice in metal! such a small guy physically with such an amazing voice! i was hoping of seeing him live with sabbath, another legend i won't see performing.
he was also one of the kindest people in music business, very intelligent and appreciative of his fans who meant the world to him. when dio spoke about his fans you always get the feeling that he is there cos of them and not the other way around. real class act!
rock in peace dear ronnie, you will never be forgotten and in the words of another greatly missed legend rory gallagher-they don't make them like you anymore, that's for sure...
INot a big fan, but, i's too bad he died. RIP Ronnie James Dio!
It's also too bad that they only play 'Rainbow In The Dark' on New England radio stations!
Absolutely gutted! Saw him many times and met him a few years back. A true gentleman.
Cant wait for Download now. Brian and Rog joining Taylor Hawkins on the Dio stage for a rendition of Heaven and Hell. It might just happen!

Same. He's too big a heavy metal persona NOT to pay tribute to musically.
ummmmm i seriously hope they do NOT .... there are no good singers enough to pay tribute to his voice they all suck
just look to some of hte names 'paying tribute to him' in the press ... sebsatian bach??? no one wants to hear that screechy loser at the best of times, never mind to a tribute to the greatest voice in genre.

I'm sure Bach would be more deserving of a tribute concert than Treasure Moment ;-)
johann sebastian, maybe ...... who at least wrote brilliant tune and music
sebastian (not only a worthless singer) is also a major leage asshole to anyone who criticizes him on internet - he lives in the same categories as Max and Amix my ex bandmates, if you really want to be to the fine point about it...
