I can only find 3 songs (DaveRFuller's videos)! Freddie was in magical voice that night! |

Thanks for helping (for those who helped). I guess I will just have to take the audio from daverfuller's videos. I guess he kind of was in magical voice that night, except he sang the chorus from in my defence an octave lower |

LOL |

It's not hard to outsing Cliff, guy has a pleasant voice but not much power. |
emrabt 30.11.2018 19:35 |
I'm still not fully sure what actually happened on that performance, I'd always assumed he and Cliff came out after the show and did some songs together before the curtian call. But i noticed Freddie actually has a costume change, He goes from red jacket to black, to which it was pointed out Freddie came out and dueted with Cliff during the show each time he had a song. I know he was offered the role when Cliff left but turned it down, I'm pretty sure if he wasn't ill we'd have him in a whole bunch of theater shows. |

This is how it was, at least what I think. |

1. Concert started at 7.30 p.m., the doors were opened at 7.00 p.m. |

2. It was April, so by 7.30 p.m. there should be dark already, but Freddie comes much earlier to the building for the rehearsal before the concert; |

3. Look here now, he wears the same clothes, so this is rehearsal: |

4. Another photo from rehearsal: |

5. The rehearsal continues but Freddie is warmed up now so he takes off his jacket: |

6. Another photo from the later stage of rehearsal |

7. The rehearsal is finished. Now it's time to change the clothes and do some make-up. The performance begins: |

Sometimes i love Queenzone, thank you for taking the time to order the photos. It looks like there is no costume change, just rehearsal photos and performance photos. So do you think he was part of the whole show or just came out for Cliff's songs? |
Viper 01.12.2018 10:43 |
nice! thx a lot for the pics and the chronological explanation! |

So do you think he was part of the whole show or just came out for Cliff's songs? You're welcome! I see 2 possibilities: 1. Dave Clark introduced Freddie and Cliff (which can be heard on soundboard recording of 'Everyone Of Us') and they did 4 songs one after another. 2. The entire musical was performed in the same order (more or less) like on the record and Freddie was coming out 3 or 4 different times on the stage. I tend to chose the 2nd version. Listen to Born To Rock'n'Roll. Audience members go crazy and shout 'Freddie' multiple times. So it was probably the first song to be performed, just like on the record. Also the beginning of this song is missing. This also indicates it was the 1st song and the taper pressed the button too late. But there is one thing that makes me wonder. Was there actually any other artists besides Freddie and Cliff? Because I've never seen any photos of someone else from this show. And because of this the 1st version is also possible. I really don't know. I hope someone who was there will see this and tell us. Kurgan maybe? |

Is that Peter Straker next to Freddie in the car? I assume the other two are bodyguards. Cool pics BTW. Thank you for posting them in order! |
Chopin1995 01.12.2018 22:48 |
Yes, it's Peter Straker. The man on the right in the front of that car is Terry Giddings - Freddie's bodyguard who can be seen in many photos with Freddie from the 1980s and 90s. I don't know who is the man on the left. If anyone is interested I can post all the pics I could find from this day which I tried to arrange in chronological order. It was very important performance for obvious reasons so I spent a few days searching for any pic I could find. I have 25-30 of them if I remember correctly. |
