What made the original version of "We will rock you" so special was this simple rhythm of "Stomp Stomp - Clap".
But I never understood (nor liked) the wrong clapping in every live version including the musical.
Cause there the audience always goes "Clap Clap - (nothing) - ". Imagine the original having been that way?
How did this happen?
I mean the Germans cannot clap, always clapping on 1 and 3 (instead of 2 and 4) and driving every artist crazy. But in this case it's a worldwide phenomenon where the original even shows the path ......
Actually, the rhythm consists of two crotchets and a minim, so it's a stomp each on beat 1 and 2, and a clap on beat three with no accent at all on beat 4.
I thought it was beacuse in the musical the bass of the drum did the most part and the adience just did the 'clap calp'and then the drum did the boom?? or mabey I just dont know what I'm chatting on....
