On june 30th will be 30 years since The game was released. Greg like a Live Killers 30th edition i propose another profitable idea....we are in time!!!!
It would be nice to realise a 30th aniversary edition box with two cds and 1 dvd al least
(Just...dreammin')
Cd1 - The original edition (incluiding A Human Body like track bonus track)
DVD audio 5.1 (incluiding A Human Body)
Cd2 - The Game Sessions (1979-1980), rare tracks like for example:
1. Play The Game (demo version with Andy Gibb / Freddie Duet)
2. Dragon Attack (Rough Demo Percussion Mix - Unreleased: Home Mini-Disc)
3. Another One Bite the Dust (Percussion Version or an early or alternative version...if it exist)
4. Need your loving tonight (an early or alternative version...if it exist)
5. Crazy little thing called love (an early or alternative version...if it exist)
6. Rock It (Freddie Version and/or Roger version)
7. Don't try suicide (an early or alternative version...if it exist)
8. Sail Away Sweet Sister (an early or alternative version)...or Freddie version (?)
9. Comming Soon (a.k.a Sandbox (if this not applies for Jazz sessions) or an alternative version)
10. Save Me (Brian May Piano Track Demo) or (an early or alternative version...if it exist)
11. A human body (an early or alternative version...if it exist)
12. Soul Brother (if exist some recording of this track from this sessions)
I'd love to QP release something like this, though The Game wouldn't be in the top 5 albums I think deserve this deluxe treatment the most. However, Soul Brother should not be on this disc - it was recorded over a year after the Game was recorded I think?
Yeah, but it'll probably be something like this:
Disc 1: The album in 5.1Disc 2: The album with audio commentaries by Brian May, saying things we've heard about a squealion times, mostly to do with astronomy and 3D and only about 10% dealing with the music...
God, when did I become so cynical? Was it around the time "Absolute Rip-off" was released?
V.
I have even better idea about all those remastered deluxe editions! It's not that original, but I honestly hope that QP will do that, cause if they don't do it, I'll stop listen to my all time favorite bend.
In 2013 (3 years from now) we'll be celebrating 40th anniversary since the release of Queen debut album released in 1973. I hope QP will release all albums in some kind of deluxe remastered 2CD editioins!

I guess that's the direction our hopes should be heading to ...
IMO,
they will not do it.
FIRST if they release an album for its 30 th or 40 th anniversary, as a logical conseguence they ll have to do it with every other albums.
SECOND live killers was a shot, a big shot to release, different as "live" with any other studio albums.
I really hope something NEW and FRESH will see the light, also something from Roger.
According to newspaper of the last two days EMI is going to sell Abbey Road studios due to financial crisis... I guess, if they success, can release at least a brand new remastered digital download.

A Night at the Opera was realesed for the 30th anniversary......and the others one?
i saw the 5:1 release of the game when i was in america 2006. think it was the 25th aniverary special....listend to a few tracks wasn't impressed...especially as a couple didn't even sound 5:1.
if ever a queen album deserved the full 5:1 + extras, plus demos etc - it's queen II....which could include the convention "releases" of MOTBQ and FHLI, the problem is, that while its most fans top wish for the treatment, it's not a big seller. In fact, for a mass-market there is only one labum that merits that kinda release "opera"...and it's been done loads...which is why QPL keep rehashing live packages and greatest hits crap.....they will sell.
the fans' wish list:: anthologies, album re-releases with extra tracks, special 70s live dvds....all these have got the proverbial snowball in hell......nothing that any established queen fan wants will ever get released.......
and before some of you jump down my throat to disagree....consider this: EMI are £14bn in debt, they are so desperate that they are trying to sell abbey road studios (at £10m)...a drop in the ocean of their debt. So why would they ever consider releases "special interest packages" that only key fans will buy? it's a no-brainer, esp when you consider that within a day of release most of it will be uploaded to torrent sites for free...and EMI's debt gets bigger as they have tonnes of "special interest stock" they can't shift
Will QZ PLEASE sort out the double space/new paragraph crap on this shithole messageboard? Spend half my life editing perfectly brilliant posts.
While we're at hit (hit enter 3 times then, just to make sure) can weblinks please be opened in a new window? Or is that too much to ask?
