The queen anthology has been rumored for many years, I know it may never happen, but I like to think it will be released when im still alive!!
If it was up to me (and i know it bloody well isnt) i would like to see it released as a multi volume collection. All the classic Queen albums released again, but given them the care and attention they deserve.
These would be the definitve versions of all the albums, no one would need to buy them again. The sound quality will be superior to other releases and they will all feature lots of rare, unreleased material.
I also think it would be so cool to have the chance to listen to all the albums, in surround sound for the first time. I know this all depends on what multitracks they still got i guess!
I know its a relatively new format, but id like to see these released on blu ray discs. The recent Neil Young Anthology series, was released on this format, as Neil wanted them in the highest bit rate possible. Also for people who havent got blu ray, it would have a CD/ DVD Edition also.
To cut a long story short these are my ideas as follows:

Don't you remember ? It will be released in 2009 :-)

Personally I wouldn't care about those, I still think music sounds best in stereo :-)
All Albums:
Audio Restored by Justin Shirly Smith and Kris whats is name
To quote Luke Skywalker : "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo".
They screwed up Roger's drums on every live recording they touched :-(
Digital Re-mastered by Bob Ludwig
MUCH better name :-)
Sound Mixes:
Highest bitrate lossless PCM audio
surround sound mix DTS 5.1 or higher
Audio Commentary By Brian May & Roger Taylor, Freddie Mercury & John Deacon
Why DTS ? The PCM format is able to hold up to 8 channels of lossless audio.
Bonus Discs With:
B Sides, Extended Mixes, Instrumentals, vocal tracks, Out-takes and rarities & Remixes
Bonus Blu Ray/ DVD Disc With:
Making of Documentary
music videos
Sounds great.
Steams from tracks, chance to remix your own version
Please, no more fan mixes :-(

I think instead of having the live albums in the anthology series, they should produce an enormous live box with all the recordings (audio and video) that they have!
As far as I know, they are still missing some multitracks, so 5.1 mixes and multitracks for remixing would be out of the question for some tracks. When I last heard (in 2003), they were missing 10 multitracks, including Spread Your Wings, Fight From The Inside, All Dead All Dead and Sleeping On The Sidewalk, though they have probably found some of them since then.
Although multitracks to remix from would be absolutely amazing, I doubt they would include them because it would make sampling very easy for anyone, and then Queen's lawyers would have a very hard time suing everyone who used these samples, so maybe some kind of copy protection could be included?
