I have a quick question. In many documentaries, including the bonus DVD to Wembley you can see a short scene, where Freddie practices his voice, Roger comes to the rooms and joins him, and they end up laughing. I always thought it comes from Wembley, but today I noticed Freddie's clothes. He is NOT dressed like he was in Wembley, he is dressed like in Knebworth. So the quick question : Does this footage come from Knebworth or from Wembley ? What do you think ? |

I’ve always thought that it came from Knebworth, and the bit where Brian is tuning his guitar. link |

Just out of curiosity, have you seen this before? It's got more backstage Knebworth footage in it. link |

But if you look at Freddies pants, hes wearing the ones with the yellow stripes down the side, not the red ones. |

Knebworth! I also like the footage of Freddie walking to the stage before the show..... His last show, a brilliant one! |

There are parts from Mannheim, Slane, Wembley, and Knebworth. White jacket, red and white jacket, yellow jacket, and yellow shirt respectively. |

It's got more backstage Knebworth footage in it. linkI watched carefully and, based of Freddie's clothing, I saw backstage footage from no less than 4 different shows. Just how much backstage footage do they have, really. By the way, the fact that they had cameras at Knebworth, but according to Brian May "forgot to turn on the recording machines" is a screw-up that can only be compared to the Hubble telescope disaster. To confirm it, John is wearing the shirt with the giant baseball on it as he does at the Budapest show. |

interesting question - but from where the rest of the similar shots are coming , like Brian 'tuning up' and John backstage with the bodyguard (start of MY) - it all look like wembley backstage? DoRo's artistic freedom always meant twisting reality into fantasy... A few month ago we discussed the magic years shots, and I added captions over the youtube footage posted earlier. link |

link i am not so sure... check at 1:31-1:35 (!) and later at 2:xx, its clearly wembley backstage where Brian is tuning up, and its the same type 'mobile container' , where FM is exercising the vocal thing. |

Damned. So we have evidence that this was shot at Wembley, but also hints it was shot in Knebworth :-( Also the official Wembley DVD documentary claims that Freddie's exercise comes from Wembley, but he's dressed differently in Wembley's One Vision :-( |

Knebworth show was filmed. There are fragments on "TSMGO" video, In my defence video etc... What Brian May says is that was filmed and IMO probably they didn t have all 15 cameras like Wembley. Wembley concert is the perfection; big, huge in everything. Queen productions wants everytime to release perfects concerts, but except for Budapest probably we will not see anything else from the glorious Magic Tour. |

No Brian said that the backstage and audience cameras (DoRo’s cameras) filmed. But nobody bothered to record the feeds from the screen cameras, so apart from what was recorded for the DO RO documentary nothing more exists. DoRo has the only footage, and we know THEY DO have at least one song (ITTWWC) fully filmed on the Audiance camera that was panning the stage at the time, it's on Live Magic, weather or not they have anymore full songs is a mystery. I think the rest they have is probably snippets, not enough for a release. Although it does seem to be all lumped together as MAGIC TOUR, so maybe DoRo don't know what they have. |

Good to know. How about reading back a few topics before jumping into discussions about Knebworth footage? Budapest probably?? HAHAHA - you will get the boxed set sooner ... On the 2nd Wembley DVD, in the beautiful documentary, at 14:40, Freddies dressing room looks completely different when he speaks with the Japanese promoter woman... and he tells her the coach will come after the gig and it will take everyone to the party or something... so its rather Wembley than Knebworth, considering helicopters were used at knebworth and no coach or afterparty was heard about so far....) |
pittrek 14.02.2010 05:11 |
Sounds correct. However I fail to see any logic in putting Knebworth footage into a Wembley documentary, but the DoRos obviously do see the logic :-) |

Yes, we know that socially Freddie took cocaine, but I'd say very much that this is purely pre-show nerves/anxiety and waiting to get on with it. |
DanQueen2008 14.07.2010 12:14 |
Correct. The Footage of Freddie & Roger is indeed from Kenbworth as they are wearing the same outfit that they wore at Knebworth and different from Wembley. |

Is it possible that both the Freddie-Roger and Brian-looking-through-window footage are fro Wembley, but from different days? |
pittrek 18.07.2010 05:22 |
OK people, PLEASE don't start new rumours, this topic should be closed a long time ago. Freddie jumping around and asking "how long do we got" - Knebworth. Brian tuning his guitar and watching through the window at the camera man - Wembley. Freddie + Roger - Knebworth Until 0:51 it's Knebworth. Then Mannheim, Budapest, Mannheim, Wembley, Knebworth, Mannheim, Knebworth, Wembley, Budapest, Mannheim, Wembley, Knebworth. In other words - Knebworth - yellow jacket, yellow T-shirt, white trousers with yellow stripes Mannheim - white jacket, white T-shirt, white trousers Wembley - yellow jacket, white t-shirt, white trouser with red stripes Budapest - white jacket with red parts, white t-shirt, white trousers with red stripes |
