Hi all--Don't know if you're familiar with a guy named Butch Walker. He is a record producer (Avril Lavine, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects) and a Freddie Mercury influenced singer/songwriter. He plays keyboard and guitar and his live shows are awesome.
I feel he could bring alot to Brian and Roger by "enhancing" what they do in the studio...he is known for making bands sound more like themselves then they ever could. He is also an AWESOME singer with amazing range and great piano skills. I feel he would be a perfect fit for what Queen has tried to do and is VERY relavent in today's rock scene.
If the above link doesn't work, go to facebook and search for: queen butch walker
My goal isn't necessarily to persuade Brian or Roger or Butch Walker into collaborating, but merely to present to them the idea...showcase Butch Walker's talents (if they didn't already know) and show the fan support behind the whole thing.
If you have spare time, YouTube Butch Walker...he does an AMAZING cover of Bohemian Rhapsody...he also has some solo stuff that showcases his piano/singing.
Do you guys want them to start another Q+ venture ? Would they then have the time to look into the back catalogue that a lot of people are clamouring for ? :-)
Avril Lavine, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, All-American Rejects
Dear God, what awful bands.
Seems like the world would be a better place had he just never been born.
I will make it my personal quest in life to never allow this to ever happen.
Laugh if you will, but I actually got to see Barry in Vegas a couple of years ago. I was never a big fan. But I don't think Brian and Roger could keep up with that guy. 3 hour show. Continuous... no breaks. In between songs, he would interact with the audience with such energy, you'd forget how old he was. A true entertainer.
Although the thought of Brian playing an acoustic during "Mandy" while Barry sings it to him would be AWESOME!!!
"Coming up Next, on QZTV:
- Zebonka12 comes out as Donnie Osmond's #1 fan.
- Treasure Moment's head was surgically removed from his ass.
Stick Around..."
I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Just kidding, Micro and Zeb... The TM bit just call it "wishful thinking",

That doesn't surprise me at all, actually. He's always had the goods, and I can't imagine him slowing down any time soon.
I had a full on Barry Manilow obsession when I was about 11. I loved 'Can't Smile Without You' so much it hurt. In fact, I believe the very first album I ever bought that wasn't K-Tel was Barry Manilow. Four of us did this performance to 'Copacabana' at a school variety show, with my best friend and I dancing and two guys playing Rico and the bartender. So lame, yet so silly. :)
