Save me - Brian May Your my best fried - John Deacon (although i do rather like I want to break free) Radio Gaga - Roger Taylor Bohemian Rhapsody - Freddie Sometimes for me its not neccesarily the lyric i like but the tune but for all of the above its a mixture of both |

It's Late - Brian May If You Can't Beat Them - John Deacon I'm in Love WIth My Car - Roger Taylor Bohemian Rhapsody - Fred ............................................................................ More difficult question than it looks at first. On two of the above, it's not so much the song as the performance that makes it good. For example, it's Fred's singing on It's Late that really makes the song. On IYCBT, Brian's guitar solo takes an average song to a new level. Brian's best song is probably on the Another World album. |

Freddie- Bohemian Rhapsody (the group's greatest ever song IMO). Brian- The Prophet's Song (my favourite Queen song). John- In Only Seven Days (the group's best love song IMO). Roger- no one song stands out, but probably Heaven For Everyone. |

Freddie - Somebody to love - reason being I love the mulittracking of the band, they use their voice as an instrument. Roger - Radio ga ga - reason love the lryics and live seen of the song Brian - Hammer to fall - reason a great mid 80s hard rocker, makes me wanna dance and rock everytime I hear it John - Another one bites the dust - reason the bass line is of its time and today is 1 of the best funkiest bass lines going even today |
The Real Wizard 25.01.2010 11:53 |
Freddie - Bohemian Rhapsody. We've heard it a million times, but few will deny it is his finest work. Brian May - Good Company. If one song defines what he has contributed to the evolution of the guitar, that's the one. Roger Taylor - These Are The Days Of Our Lives. The perfect song to send Freddie off with. John Deacon - a tie between Spread Your Wings and In Only Seven Days. Both are examples of his fine writing skills. |

I'm going to be lame, and cop out, and say I can't pick just one for May because it's not clear what my favourite is even to me. Deacon - Another One Bites the Dust (for his unique and counterintuitive vision in Queen terms, and for outstanding driving funk. Spread Your Wings a strong #2.) May - Dragon Attack, Tie Your Mother Down, Save Me, Keep Yourself Alive (for more hot Queen rock/funk, for truly outstanding and infectious riff driven rock, for a straight up beautiful song, particularly as sung at Montreal, and for an awe inspiring avalanche of beautiful noise at the begining followed by 3 minutes of cool) Mercury - Bohemian Rhapsody (no explanation needed. The amazing Somebody to Love another strong #2) Taylor - I'm in Love With My Car (for coolness and raw power and almost perfect lyrics and mood for the feeling he was trying to capture. Tenement Funster strong #2) |

Brian; 'The Night Comes Down' -Probably Queens most underrated song in my opinion and a fantastic vocal fron the Fredster. Roger; 'Radio Ga Ga' - Simply too powerful and innovative to have a rival. John; ' You're My Best Friend' - The perfect pop song which cannot age, always fresh, catchy and only one could have sang this. Fred; 'Killer Queen' - I may come across as a smart arse but i knew what to expect from Bo Rhap when it was released because my head had already been blown with 'K Q' , It was this song that made me realise that Queen were going to be really special in my life and that was 36 years ago. The groundbreaking harmonies, the guitar layers, exuded the response; 'What the hell is that!' |

That doesn't mean you can write it that way. Sorry plumrach, not picking on you in particular, but this mistake appears here a lot and it's really annoying. No wonder non-native English speakers get confused at the "complexity" of English, when we can't seem to get even the simplest things right. |

Blondie: I'm in Love with My Car- IMHO pure genius. The lyrics, the song, the vocals. The song is so cleverly written. My fave of all Queen songs. Just a phenomenal song. Its just so I dunno how to say it!! But the fact that someone is in love with his car is enough!! Poodle: All Dead All Dead- Wow. Bri really does a good job on this one. The vocals are beautiful. His best vocal work. the lyrics are sweet as. makes me cry. Bassman: Misfire- really short wonderful song by deaks. A really beautiful song, with a gorgeous melody and cute lyrics. Also great vocals by fredsome!! Teeeeth: Killer Queen- Definitely freds best work. I love Bo Rhap, but Killer Queen is just amazing. Wow. I just love it!! And also excellent vocals, brilliant melody and for once, not boring guitar solo's by Brian. Queen: Stone Cold Crazy- this is the best collaborative song by Queen. Very funny, and the vocals are wonderful. And the lyrics, well they are nonsense!! But I love it!! Favourite Queen song: I'm in love with my car. |
