Regarding QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL...
In terms of different formats for this, we do have Blu-Ray and HD versions, and DVD and CDs, obviously, and the little blue data stick for computers, but apparently there is a PSP version, which we don't have.
The other day I was told of an 8mm proper official Live In Rio format too, from the 80s, which I've never seen, and I saw a Live In Japan VHD cartridge, which we do now have, and these things do make me wonder if there are any other weird obscure formats out there... from the 80s and 90s mostly, I guess... or from recent games (consoles ????) maybe.
I have little knowledge of games. But we do have the Singstar thing covered, and The eYe, and the Interactive Hits CD-ROM, etc. Any others????
We have all obvious formats covered... CDV, CED, DCC, Flexi disc, 8-track, etc, but do you know of any other extremely rare formats that might exist for Queen products????
I think we have 41 formats so far. I'm really only after the MEGA obscurities please. And any photos you can direct me to.
Ta a great deal.

Journey had their own video game for the Atari 2600. I was infuriated (at the time) that Queen did not do this. They'll sack all that money into The Eye and confuse the hell out of me, but twenty years ago they couldn't have dressed up Pong with a monophonic soundtrack? Would've been a lot cheaper, less time consuming, and they probably would have sold more!!!
In fact, I bet Journey Escape brings more than The Eye on ebay.
There's also a tape version of Rock Montreal. Tapes still get release in Indonesia and countries like that. Bought Cosmos Rocks on tape for $8 last month :)
Don't forget the MiniDisc releases - Queen released all three Greatest Hits in that obscure, however brilliant, format.
In terms of CD-ROM - I seem to remember a songbook type thing back in the days of the first Pentium computers.

I should be kicking myself... It was going for peanuts in my local computer store in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the time I didn't have a PC and I figured that there would be no point in buying it. Oh, how wrong can you be...

Hahaha....I used to have Journey Escape on my Atari!! Oh memories!
There's been some extremely useful comment in this thread. Many thanks to all those that contributed.
I followed the link to the Dutch auction site one of you kindly posted... link
and it provided the only picture I've ever seen of the Rio Super8 tape. I really need to find one of these things now. Does anyone have one???
Thanks for the good info everyone. Do keep it coming.
Pieces of music by Brian (The Dark + Cyborg) are included in the Rise of the Robots games. These games were released in various formats (cd-i, Nintendo and much more). Are you looking for this kind of stuff also?
You'll probably have this, but nevertheless: cd-rom for the 2002 Queen's Day concert in Amsterdam?

As I wrote before, its VIDEO8 NOT SUPER8. These are two completely different formats and not even remotely connected in any way.
Greg, Super 8 is actually Super 8mm film. This was the primitive version of home video cameras many years ago, often referred to as a "Super 8 Camera".
Super 8mm film would never have been used to release any artist's commercial home video release.
