Can any recommend a good program to test if music files are lossless? There is some old bootleg stuff I have and I want to see of they are lossless or not.
It's been a while since I downloaded concerts but I remember I used a program called AnalFreq to do the spectrum analysis. It was quite basic and easy to use.
Shame on the one who named it, though... and shame on me for having to Google partial names until I found it again.
Whatever you do, make sure you search for the name as a whole (not 'hole') and not as separate words. :P
Audiochecker is good for testing flac files, if they are lossy or lossless.
But the best method is to use your ears, or even eyes if you open the file in a audio editor capable of displaying Frequency Analysis
