In my opinion, the one song The Unblinking Eye beats the complete album The Cosmos Rocks.
I was so pleased when I heard Roger's new song. Finally a new song that had a feeling, fantastic melody and of course a fantastic singer. I can't wait till his new album comes out.

Agreed!....The new roger song is better than tcr, but let's not make it out too be anything ground breaking. It's a nice song. nothing more.
I don't remember seeing anything confirming anything about there being a new RT solo album.Hope so but i think it might be more likely to be a "Best of."
You are kidding! Its his worst solo effort since Fun In Space. It sub standard wanna be Bob Dylan, political crap. Give me Clebrity, Surfs Up, Cosmos Rocks any day. Brian and Roger should team up with Justin Hawkins for their next 'Queen' product.
Unblinking Eye is the best solo song from any Queen member. Those of you that do not like it or do not get it, listen to it a few more times. That is the problem with music listeners these days, if it's not instantly catchy, you can't be bothered with listening again so therefore dismiss songs.
Well done Roger, I do hope there is a solo album coming.
The lyrics, if you listen to them properly, bore into your soul. I was crying when I finished listening to it for the first time. Guys, give it a chance! It's a beautiful song, both music and lyric wise. Well done Roger!
i hate to say this - cos i really like most of Roger's solo stuff....but
he's a rich old man who can preach now he's made enough money to not have to impress richer old men....he's latched onto ALL of the big news issue of the last 2 yrs and made a song out of em...f*cks sake he even used a stylophone (just cos they became fashionable again this year)
and sentiments aside....it leaves me cold...
very cold....
nice melody, crowded out by lyrics crammed with platitudes and when did Roger Taylor metamorphasise into Roger Waters...cos that's where he's gone
Typical roger solo song, worth a listen but to me it doesn't really stand out enough to be released as a single.
That said, if he releases an album of songs on par with this one, it will definitely be worth getting.
as for the cosmos rocks, weren't the majority of the songs Rogers, i wouldn't be suprised if they were album left overs.
TUE is a nice song from Roger, with a theme reminiscent of We Believe on TCR, only WB is more hopeful and builds momentum. Because TUE is a complaint, it would have been good as more of a blues number?
