This is just a warning. It has probably worked for many of you, but a lot of people are sharing my unfortunate experience. I won't bore you so I will go straight to the point:
They have charged me (FOUR times!) for the mp3. Yet to this date I still get the SAME CRAPPY message than on 23th Nov 2009, when I was supposed to be able to download WHAT I HAVE PAID FOR. This is the message:
"1 x Roger Taylor – The Unblinking Eye (Everything Is Broken)
Digital Track
Your downloads are not yet ready, please check back in a few minutes£0.99"
Few minutes? It's been EIGHT DAYS NOW, and counting! How can a "serious" company NOT be capable enough to enable an insignificant link to an mp3? Even a 8-years-old child can do this. Of course, they do NOT experience problems when charging you (even if they do this multiple times because when you click on "Order", instead of displaying a banner confirming the purchase, they simply re-direct you to the front page NOT resetting the shopping basket, which leads to confusion).
Their service is pathetic. I will NEVER use it again and will tell everyone not to do it. I was stolen, charged multiple times, lied and my eMails are being ignored. I am calling my credit card company right now and will report them for fraud. I know they can issue a chargeback.
I just want to share my experience with you guys. I wanted to purchase it officially, but due to this unacceptable behaviour from this pathetic company, this is it for me. Shame on them.
Everything is broken, indeed. Specially my trust in these digital download pseudo-companies.
The widespread fuckedupedness of the QOL purchase/download process was/is truly absurd. I was charged three times, and I did have access to the song(s) right away, but STILL. I could no longer log into my store account (?!!) after just one day, but did contact recordstore.co.uk directly Sunday and they were very quick with responding and initiating the charge reversal on my credit card.
I gave up my quest to get an account on the Queenonline forum after more than a week of trying, so I guess y'all are stuck with me here. Overall QOL is an pretty unimpressive official online presence.
I wanted to start this topic when I saw your discussion. I have the same problem with QOL. I hate this way of promoting a single. I bought it three times on QOL and just send them 3 cancellations so let's hope they will come through.
Does ANYBODY know where to download The Unblinking Eye ????
Everything is broken, including my patience
Don't buy from them either. I bought AG with the book and all clear back in August (pre-order), and STILL have not received it. They take beyond forever.
This happened to me in the past too (with the QueenOnline shop). Paid like three times, got nothing, complained... after some weeks I got my money back.
Hi,
it's not fraud, it's just not massively intuitive. As soon as you pay for the song, it's available, even though it says "available soon". Go back to the front page of the store, click "My Account", and you'll see a list of your order numbers. Click on the top one, and the song will be there to download.
Sorry to hear you've had so much trouble getting your download. Hopefully this helps.
well i know i had same problem in the end i just got it form youtube, know its not the correct way off gettin it but theres even a link for gettin the video on to mp4 for my playstation. come on guys this is the internet there ways of getting it, sorry roger im a big fan but ive paided for it. good luck. well roger is right everything is broken.

NO, IT IS NOT. I still got:
1 x Roger Taylor – The Unblinking Eye (Everything Is Broken)
Digital Track
Your downloads are not yet ready, please check back in a few minutes
mine kept saying that until after I downloaded it. Mine was definately there, and it was just a case of clicking the right link. Sorry that I couldn't help.
Good luck!
Simon
Maybe it's my weird sense of luck, but I've never really had problems with Digital Stores. All my downloads + that one physical purchase (the AOBTD Miami remix CD5, 7" PD & 12" Clear Vinyl pack) have come through fine.

I signed up for the Queen Online forum - ID and password, but they never contacted me to activate my membership. I emailed them and the email was rejected. Screw 'em!
I downloaded The Unblinking Eye twice, but now, although I have it listed in my library on Windows Media Player, if I try to play it I keep getting the message that WMP can't find the file. Is this like the coin on a string, where one spends it in the machine and then pulls it back out, only in reverse? Why did the download say "temporary file"? Questions - nothing but questions.............

When you download, you should look at the folder name which the computer was going to save it to and specify the folder to Downloads or Music etc if it was not done by default.
From reading your comments, my guess is that the file was saved to the Temporary Internet File. If you clear your Internet Temporary File regularly, you might have cleared the file. Try to do a search on your computer and see where it might have been saved to.
