I own a copy of Mr Bad Guy on CD. I know these are rare and there are alot of fakes around, so my question is is there any way to tell if mine is fake or not?
The catalouge number matches the French issue CD. Any clues?
Some guy on Ebay offered one that claimed to be the real deal and he said the difference was that the real one had a number on the back of the back cover, that is, below the CD tray.
Like 10 years ago I read that the matrix number, printed on the inner "groove" of the CD (I know that's not the term) was different. The original one had many numbers and the fake one had only 2 letters and 3 numbers or something. LMXXX
I have one I bought around 1998 and back then I checked online and found out that mine was fake (according to the previous statement).
After that, I even started noticing that the print quality on the booklet was not perfect.
I really want mine to be real, but I guess it's not. Hopefully someone can prove me wrong, hehe :).
Apparently the real french CD is a rarity. Isn't it? At least it was before the Freddie Box came out.
My CD's catalog number is CDCBS86312 and below it it has a CK 40071.
The inside of the CD, right next to the center, has the number 342 in it. Nothing behind the CD tray. Nothing else.
well, I know "love me like there's no tomorrow" is a great great song. Probably my favorite solo song from a queen member. (except for barcelona of course). How about let's turn it on?....ok, let's not get crazy!....I could do without that one.

If the booklet has 1 staple through it, it's fake. If it has two, it's the real deal. At least, that's what I was told a couple of years back.
I don't have understood this point, what is the"staple"?

thank you!!
my copy has 2 staples but the print quality is lower than the cd published by CBS in the U.S. in the 1985, so I think my copy is a fake....
Well, it might be fake, but you learned a new English word! [/img]
Now you teach us....what is the Italian word for staple?
