So check this out... For all of you in the U.S. who ordered the Absolute Greatest with the booklet, and wanted to see all the cool 'streaming concerts' you will be dissapointed to see this message... Thanks for trying to access the microsite for Absolute Greatest - Queen Unfortunately due to contractual restrictions, access to this promotion is not available to residents of United States. See for yourself here- link |

Queen productions: "Give us yer money America!" America: "Here ya go Queen Productions. Can we see the exclusive content on the Official Queen Website on the World Wide Web please?" Queen productions: "Sod off. We've got yer money now." That is VERY mean of QPL. Keep watching the download sites folks - someone is bound to upload the videos for all to see for free (and companies wonder why people download stuff instead of buying it....) |

From someone who isnt remotely interested in buying something I have bought so many times before I actually think its fucking hilarious! |

I get the same message in Canada. But I also heard that it won't be activated until Monday. Is that true? If so, then give it a try then. |

They already announced on QOL that it will not be available to people in North America. |
tcc 13.11.2009 20:44 |
The North American buyers could always get their UK friends to download for them. However I am not sure whether they have copyright protection though (like the Nokia Comes With Music type of restrictions). |
Back2TheLight 13.11.2009 21:56 |
When did they announce this? |

There is always a way of circumventing these things. |

Fuck THAT. And JUST when I was finally thinking about getting the vinyl set so I could get the online access...! Fuck you, QPL & EMI. |

A question about this:- Can you guys in the US view all the online streaming videos in the media section at QueenOnline? If so, then how can you not be allowed to view these clips?!? I think it's outrageous and disgusting, especially as a lot of people will be buying the A4 book or vinyl versions especially to view the live extras. Let's hope that if you can indeed view the QOL videos, that they then see sense and after a period of time and add the Absolute Greatest video tracks to the QOL media section. How on earth can the audio be ok for distribution but the video isn't??? (especially if the videos are owned by Queen Films Ltd and not EMI or Capitol or Hollywood) |
pittrek 14.11.2009 06:55 |
Does anybody know in which countries are the videos not available ? The videos are the only reason why I want to buy the book, so I don't want to get a nasty surprise :( |
tcc 14.11.2009 07:09 |
I think I have got it wrong. Buyers are only allowed to watch the videos and not download them. You must put the copy of the CD in the PC to watch the videos. Refer to: link |

HA!!! How easily circumventable! Anyone with a halfway decent video capture program would have no problem sharing that stuff. |

In the end, I'm just curious to see what songs are being shown from what show... so hopefully there will be a list available soon. |

Wonder if they put this stuff online to see what the reaction/interest is in tracks like White Queen, Millionaire Waltz... They could've easily put up a cut 'n' paste job with stuff from the already released DVD's from 81, 82 and 86, instead they actually have spent some time on this... Rainbow 74 looks way better than I remember the video in Box of Flix looked (haven't watched it in 10+ years though so I might be mistaken). |

That's just 18 and not 20 |

Pim Derks 15.11.2009 11:29 |
And QOL also lists that all there is at the moment is 18 tracks, so where did you get the idea that there would be 20 tracks...? "The video content includes 18 live videos of Queen from across their career including concert footage including some delightful 70s material from The Rainbow (1974), Earls Court (1977), Houston (1977), Paris (1979), Japan (1979) and Hammersmith (1979)." |

pittrek 24.11.2009 08:10 |
Well we could end up with only 10 or less :( |
