I remember, back in 1999, the Italian TV channel TMC 2 (formerly VideoMusic) aired the Queen - Live At Wembley '86 concert from the official tape, albeit slightly butchered (not that the official tape wasn't already), but a week after that, the same channel also aired the Knebworth Park '86 concert, although I missed it.
This means, that that channel has to have at least 75% footage of the show. Now, the channel doesn't exist anymore, though its current owners, Telecom Italia Media, also own two other TV channels, La 7 (formerly TMC - TeleMonteCarlo), and MTV Italia, which is the Italian branch of MTV - Music Television, and is currently broadcasting on the exact same frequencies, on which before, there was TMC 2/VideoMusic.
So basically, the company has to still have the footage. And yes, it was indeed Knebworth Park '86, it was even advertised to be aired as the last concert Queen ever had with Freddie Mercury, if I re-call correctly.
But, if this is true, then this means, that Queen Productions must also have that footage (after all, TMC 2/VideoMusic had to have got the footage from somewhere), and if not, then VideoMusic must have had cameras present on that concert which recorded it all, and maybe even broadcast the show at some point in 1986, or maybe, 1987.
Anyway, this is certainly worth investigating, in my humble opinion. ;)
if only as i was there , at the moment all i have to remind me of that great evening is snow productions terrible cam but at least i always have a laugh at the end when the chap who videod it catches some dudes calling the promoter (stickells ?) a Wank** always makes me laugh.

Unless someone who saw it and could identify it as such, you could have misheard - or the TV station might've fucked up.
I find it pretty hard to believe that a concert that is so sought-out in Queen circles would not have surfaced by now if it'd been broadcast on TV. Someone would've nabbed it.

Knebworth was never aired on Italian television - sorry but you mix that up with something else.
With no disrespect - how can you be 100% sure ? I think it's highly improbable, but I wouldn't dare to say it was never aired on Italian TV unless I was working for that TV :)
If Knebworth had been aired in 1999 we would know it. At least ONE of the thousands of Italian Queen fans would have seen and tape recorded it. We are not talking about a videotape that has been traded in secret circles unbeknownst to the general public - we are talking about TV. If Knebworth would have been on, we would have a copy and would have dicussed it numerous times during all those years on QueenZone. If Knebworth would have been on Italian TV the fans would be the ones to know rather than someone from TV.
