there are a lot of problem with the rio 1985 concert because of the official rock in rio release
but I think personnaly that the audience recording is so different of the few things that is on the official release that it can be said " official stuff "
and I think a mp3 version was already share here
so is anyone who are the 18 01 1985 in rio (audience recording) in lossless?
all apologies, i forgot to mention that i have this version but i search a more complete
I think to the 95mn version (a quarter ton too fast) of great site from SIR GH (queenlive.ca) mention and with complete radio gaga for example and this version is little best (B ) than the one post here (B- )
I got two versions. One which is the incomplete one shared here and another one which is complete. I ignore if the first one is the version Bob describes but it sounds slightly better than the other one. But I think it doesn't sound like a B recording in my ears but more like a B- recording.
I verified my copy. It seems it is lossless until CLTCL and lossy from Boh Rhap to the end. The gaps have been filled in with some bits from the official release. So it might be the one listed as the complete recording on Bob's website. Here are some extracts:
Bob, is it the one described on your website? Is it the best version available? Does the end circulate in lossless form? Otherwise, could someone please share the best version?

I missed this post initially, and now the links are dead. Can you please post them again?
Indeed, that's the same version I've had on CDR for years, with the official release filling in the gaps. But it's a gen or two further from the master, and there is absolutely no bottom end.
The lower gen but shorter version was shared here earlier this year. This is the best we've got for now..

"Lower gen but shorter" - sounds ideal for a 2-source merge, what do you think ? :-)

it woulb be very good idea
Ok, so it seems I'll do a merge for this show. In addition to the audience recording, there is a lot of material to work from, between the various official releases and the 45-minute TV broadcast. I'll see what I can come up with.
