How about an album simply entitled Absolute Queen???...... they could release most of thier hits again. I think it would be great to have classics like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, etc, etc re-released just in time for Christmas!
Hammersmith Odeon 1975 + 1979 3CD+2 or 3 DVDs
Greatest Hits 1+2+3 + Greatest Flix 1+2+3 + Greatest Pix 1+2+3 - 3CD+3DVD+1 huge book
Complete BBC sessions (10 CDs + 2DVDs + book)
All albums remastered by some professional engineer not related to the band, especially Innuendo
4 CD releases of albums featuring all single edits, demos, alternate mixes, live performances ....
6 DVD box containing all incomplete professional Queen videos
AG already has a release date, upcoming DVD release is, as everyone knows, Hammersmith 1975...
after that i really hope the next DVD will be GVH3. it's really frustating having to wait more than 8 years to complete the GVH DVD collection. GVH1 it's from....2001. we are in 2009 and still no official news about it being in production, like Hammersmith as we all know about since Brian posted on his Soapbox
Absolutely Greatest DVD
Budapest 86 complete DVD and 2 cd I guess. This might take 2-3 years before this will be released
Greatest Hits III Not sure really
Hammersmith 75 We can hope.
Rainbow 74 Don't think so. Not sure Queen Prod. own rights for one more release. I've heard they don't.
Rio 85. Not yet I think. Will take years before this will be released I guess.
Japan Tokyo 85. Well, I guess it will take a time.
Japan Tokyo 82 Will take years.....
Solo DVD. Don't count with this. The Cross had contract with 3 different companies. All of them have rights for their videos. To pay them, and collect all in one DVD? Forget it. Will cost to much money.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Brian say on his soap box that Hammersmith 75 was being worked upon for a TV broadcast, as opposed to a DVD release?

The last time I checked it he wrote that they're going to remaster it for a TV broadcast and LATER release it on DVD, was it changed again ?

Yes, Queen Production work with this film, and have on the agenda to offer this for TV stations, and later a DVD release. I guess also on CD with the 2nd. encore which wasen't filmed.
If everything goes well, we will see this happend. But, if they are not satisfied with the final product, it will not happend. That's the life of Rock'n Roll business.
There might also be some rights from BBC etc. which need to be sorted out as well, even for just a cd release. Not sure which deal Queen made of this back in 1975. Who really own the master tapes.
How about a very cool 70's DVD box set
1974 Rainbow
1975 Hammersmith
1976 Hyde Park
1977 Earls Court
1977 Houston
1979 Hammersmith
of course digitally remastered and with all available extra's
*sigh*
will i live to see the day...?

This would be a dream come true.
Its time we saw more of Queen fronted by Freddie pre-moustache, and the cover of Absolute Greatest does not count.
I'm past caring now. I'm not getting any younger. They can relaese a box of matches for all I care :(
70s (and most 80s) stuff looks dated and cheeseyl on TV these days anyway, be it concerts, films, TV progs etc
Ok, our dream of seeing the release of the Anthology set a la FM Collection is vanished. We understand an Absolute Greatest boxset limited to 500 units is a much better product.
I'm sick of seeing many artists re-releasing their entire catalogue or anniversary editions remastered as 2-cd sets with a 2nd disc full of bonus material such as b-sides, demos, live versions, etc etc (David Bowie anyone?) .... and QPL is always heading to the opposite side.
Now, can we ask QPL for something like this? or perhaps Queen fans aren't allowed to such privilege?
