Hello ,i've followed Queen since 1974 and have spent a small fortune on LPS,Tapes,CDS,Concerts etc.But over the last few years the Queen that i love and cherish seems to have lost its direction and i now fear that all we will get is more of what we have already had. Greatest hits,Live Albums,Occasional Tours with guest lead singer. The Band seem to be out of touch with the fans and what they really want and by the time they get round to an expanded edition of ANATO i might have already popped my clogs !Things could be so much better they have great albums that they could expand /special edition, a tour which included songs from their classic albums. The hunger just is not there any more and it most likely never will be again. I find myself more interested in other bands now anyway who offer a lot more than Queen seem to be able to do.I hope to be proved wrong and that Queen once again produce a strong album and a great tour but maybe im at "The Dreamers Ball !" |

Hi Philip, nice to hear your opinion, but I'd maybe do a wee search and see the MANY wonderful topics already discussed concerning all the points you have made... just in case you don't get much of a reply and see it as rude. |

Its sometimes just good to get it off your chest, when you care so much about something that you have loved for so many years. |

The only thing I want is a boxset with lots of raraties. Maybe releasing a remaster of every album they did, god knows great albums like Queen2, Jazz, and Innuendo need a nice remastering Job. They could release them as double CD's with the second disc being rarities from the session of that particular album. I don't want brian and roger to work as queen again. It's over for me. The singles boxset is what pisses me off about Queen productions. what a waste of time. |

Hi, i've been an avid visitor to this site, but have not posted anything for...years.. I do share some of the fans sadness. Well, lets face it, the guys are getting older( true fact) for them to hit the studio again and came up with something as good as ..let say...Innuendo, will be considered as an achievement!! Their last offering with PR, sadly, is not to my liking, why? because it is just not Queen! I hate to admit it to myself, but i think it's about time i shared it with the rest of the Queenzone comm, i believe it's over. Future release? I always hope Queen would take the KISS road & release numerous releases under all sorts of monicker ( Queen Hits by Freddie, Queen Hits by John etc.. Queen Ballads [the Scorpions style of best of albums], Queen Secret Vaults blah blah blah) Give me a new release with an old voice recording of Fred's voice with Brian & Roger playing backup ( just like Made In Heaven) and i'll be happy. |

Oh yes, another Queen masterpiece would be excellent. One minor problem. Freddie is dead and the rest of the boys have aged QUITE significantly. But you expect some old guys to reach back and pull something off that they did nearly 40 years ago. Tell me, where DOES that happen? No band has done that. Is Arnold Palmer supposed to win more majors than Tiger next year or else golf sucks? Should George Foreman come out of retirement and retake the belt? Should they re-assemble the Dodgers of the 70s so they could beat the Phillies (Steve Sax IS available, Garvey and Cey are out)??? Should Clint Eastwood assume the role of Dirty Harry and make another? Is Roger Moore really able to get it on with a 20 year old for the next bond flick or would that be too weird? Shouldn't Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak re-evolve the age of computers... again? So why are fans "angry" with the direction of Queen? What exactly are you guys expecting? You can use the internet to make your own "expanded" versions of whatever album you'd like. Queenzoner MOOGHEAD has given us some wonderful new tracks to enjoy, for example. Shouldn't you all be (at least) happy that The Cosmos Rocks saw the light of day? Usually artists, at this point, have some independent record label selling their albums via the internet, not retail. I got an LP, 2 different CDs, a sample DVD, two full DVDs, a couple of T-Shirts, a CD single, and the opportunity to see Brian play live again. I'm not complaining. I also have the ability NOT to buy another Greatest Hits, I have plenty and Queen isn't mad that I'm not buying them. |

It all depends on which part of the show and economics. The remaining 2 members are spending a lot of time and effort on the WWRY musical. The profits on this are shared between 3 people who are working on this project. To release the old works and concerts, the remaining 2 members must do the work but the profits would be shared with a retiree and the estate of a deceased member. |

What exactly are you guys expecting?I've recently bought a couple of box sets of different bands. E.g. Ramones : It's Alive 1974-1986 (a 2DVD set full of rare live footage), Black Sabbath : Black Box (remastered Ozzy albums) ... Something like that would be nice from Queen, too. Do you bother reading posts.... nobody above is ANGRY, they are just disappointed with the new releases. Nobody is disillusioned enough to expect "another Queen masterpiece" and nobody above asked for one. They just asked what loads of people have asked for in other similar threads (new box sets, live, rare etc etc etc). Your comparisons are fucking awful too... and in no way make sense to this thread, as again you read the posts wrong. TRY READ POSTS IN FUTURE BEFORE VOMITING UP SUCH PISH. |

Cool it guys..this is a serious discussion, but being serious does not mean you push your ideas down peoples throat. Some of us are just voicing our opinion but the lack of 'real' materials from the band, never mind what era & who... I myself will not be happy ( not angry) if the only future realease we'll be having is another greatest hits album or some silly ( not stupid ) or misinterpred remix of some of the bands song ( e.g- some guy calling himself as Stoopid Toad and thrashing I want to break free with some 'treet treet treet' sound" |
