NOTES
-----
Here's my remaster of the second show in London during the European Game Tour. I consider it as one of the most interesting Queen concerts as it took place the night after the murder of John Lennon. Queen played for the first time Imagine during this night.
Unfortunately, the recording was really not enjoyable as it came with a lot of tape hiss and one of the channels was much louder and hissy than the other. Moreover, it was running a little bit fast. I tried to correct all these things and I'm quite happy with the result as it sounds in my opinion really much better than the original (but still not great, about VG/B). I hope you will enjoy it too.
You might think that the spectrum looks likea mp3-sourced recording but it's not! Only a matter of hiss reduction...
Of course, don't convert it into mp3 unless for your own use.
I'm just listening to it and it includes probably the most emotional version of Imagine I've ever heard.
As soon as Brian starts to play, the audience explodes, they clap along the song all the time and in the end they give something which sounds like a standing ovation.
Beautiful.
Sounds like a great show, it's a pity the sound quality isn't very good (but still enjoyable)
I was actually at this concert and remember it very well!
Imagine was incredibly emotional, and I remember shedding a tear as my favourite band of all time, sang one of my favourite non-Queen songs of all-time!
You're right, Imagine is really an amazing performance. I dream of a recording of this night with the same quality as the recording of the 8th. It would be really a major release.
That's quite difficult reducing tape hiss without destroying the high end. I hope some more people tell me if it sounds really better to their ears than the original. In my opinion, it does but after all, any other opinion is welcome.
