Thanks Bob! |

Thanks Bob for the merge but... I have checked the concert with audiochecker and most of the files is mpeg and some error. So is this one lossy ? It is normal for you to upload something there is lossy. |

H:\Dump\2-12.wav: source of track cannot be qualified. H:\Dump\2-13.wav: track looks like MPEG with probability 95%. H:\Dump\2-14.wav: source of track cannot be qualified. Which is hardly conclusive. If you run the files through EAC you can see there's a jump at around the 16kHz mark but it's only from around -90dB to around -110dB. Now I stress that I've not had a chance to listen to these yet but that doesn't look like a big enough jump by itself to say that it's definitely MPEG compression - could just be hiss-reduction or some other EQ processing. Maybe someone with more time will give them a listen and offer a better opinion? |
little foetus 07.10.2009 18:41 |
Thanks again for this one. Just a question, on this merge, We Will Rock You(Slow) at the beginning of the show fades in and is incomplete.I don't have the alternate source but is it the same for that one? Otherwise, I think something should be done to have the most complete recording. |
The Real Wizard 07.10.2009 19:21 |
Unfortunately the alternate source cuts in at We Will Rock You fast, so this is the best we're going to get. And sorry that it appears lossy. It's definitely not from mp3... maybe some hiss reduction or other work was done on it before it got to me. But this is why I don't trust these programs. All of disc 2 is from the exact same source, yet each track gets a different report. Hopefully the tapers of these Stockholm concerts will eventually show up to settle these matters once and for all with master copies. |

Thanks for the tip! Maybe you should indicate it on your website. WWRY(slow) is in the setlst of the second recording. |
tcc 08.10.2009 04:02 |
Thank you very much. The sound is very clear. The performance of '39 is very good and clear. |

MERCI BEAUCOUP SIR is this on the original copy the litte little cut in 'the millionnaire waltz" at 2'48? |
The Real Wizard 08.10.2009 15:32 |
Excellent catch, Vivaqueen. Thanks for that. It is indeed a cut. I checked out the "Big Disgrace" bootleg from Breakdown to see if there was a cut, and they used another show to fill in the gap. So here's The Millionaire Waltz with the gap filled in with the alternate source from Stockholm: link |
vivaqueen 08.10.2009 16:36 |
Thank to YOU Sir GH |
riccardo 08.10.2009 22:20 |
Thank you very much Sir! One of the best gigs I ever heard from freddie. He was in fantastic shape that night. But I have a question: is it the "Big disgrace" bootleg better or worse? |
The Real Wizard 08.10.2009 22:31 |
It's about the same.. But they're a CDR label... a pirate label, pretty much. They don't actually have contact with tapers. They just take circulating recordings, EQ them, burn them to CDR, and sell them. So their stuff just doesn't have any value, musically or in terms of collectibility. |

Sorry for this request, I know... but I would like to have this bootleg too as this is an incredible performance. Could you share it please? [/img] |

I've got a few other things I'd like to share in the near future... ! Maybe someone else can? It's nothing rare, so plenty of people must have it. |

Well, I think it sounds quite great, other 78 shows would need a much better sound than this one. |

Listening to the first half right now. I like the band's energy and enthusiasm for the first European night, and have smiled over Freddie muddling the lines of We Will Rock You (fast). I'd rate this as B, so far. |

As you all know, megaupload is token offline by the FBI. Since Multiupload.com has also some problems with their services at the moment, I will upload for the time being to a alternate service like multiupload, called uploadmirrors.com. Here are the new fresh links to the original files which were shared in this topic: link link link |
