Could anyone re-share a lossless version of the final show of the Jazz/Live Killers tour? I make this request as the shared copy that's currently being seeded on the QZ tracker is the lossy-sourced FLAC version. I am quite interested in hearing this show.
This show is the final performance of the 1978-1979 Jazz/Live Killers tour. Like with the final night of the European tour (March 1st 1979, Paris, France), it is one of the longest Queen performances caught on tape. It's also the last show where Queen would open the show with the taped We Will Rock You intro(similar to the one used for the News Of The World tour), and is also the last show where they played Bicycle Race, Dreamers Ball, It's Late and the full versions of both Brighton Rock and Keep Yourself Alive.
The only known recording as listed on queenlive.ca is from a bootleg silver CD entitled "Jazz Final". However, for one reason or another, It's Late got moved to the end of the disc, and the bootleg claimed it to be from the previous night's show in Sapporo(May 5th 1979), when in actuality it is from the May 6th show.
I listened to this show last week(I also have the lossy FLAC with It's late at the end) and I enjoyed it very very much.
I'd even rate this as one of Freddie's best shows(certainly one that thrilled me when I listened to it carefully last week). Not that his voice is in great shape, certainly not BUT what he does with what's available is stunning and shows he's a natural talent. Check out Dreamers ball.... Certain lines are so beautiful, can't stop listening to them.
