1 Stay together as a four piece group with no changes. Must be difficult. 2 Queen II. Changed my view on pop / rock music forever. 3 Make the 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives' video. 4 Live Aid. Makes me proud to be a Queen fan. 5 Fire Greg Brooks (thanks in advance!) |

1- experiments with harmonies, no synths in 70s 2- risked with Bohemian Rhapsody 3- played Live Aid 4- Brian May played on the roof of Buckingham Palace 5- stayed together for 20 years (not many managed to do so!) ..... and many more! |
Holly2003 13.09.2009 05:10 |
Queen II SHA ANATO ADATR NOTW I can't think of any other band that produced five really epic albums in a row like this. |
queenfanbg 13.09.2009 07:02 |
"5 Fire Greg Brooks (thanks in advance!)" LOL 1.Live Aid 2.Album "The Miracle"(their best) 3.Inexhaustibility of innovatory ideas all the time. 4 and 5.Freddie's talent. The worst things : taking P.Rogers singin Queen originals and using the name Queen after 1991. |

Meet. Form a band. Release albums. Release videos. Sat on their laurels for the last 20 years without working. Hey; don't knock it. It sounds like my ideal lifestyle. |

dragon-fly wrote: 5- stayed together for 20 years (not many managed to do so!) Slightly off-topic. I've only recently come to realize that U2 has been around for about 30 years, with the original line-up at that too. The big difference is, they've been crap for way more than half of the time. Not my opinion, just a fact. I happen to kinda like U2 for all its shittiness. They're boring, but they've definitely got their own sound. But regardless of it, U2 is one band that makes this staying-together kind of thing less valuable. Am I making any sense? No? Good. |

1) Disband Smile and start afreash. 2) Create their own rock sound, no synth, etc. 3) Stay apolitical and retain their sense of humour. 4) Borhap, they may not have got that big otherwise. 5) Brian and his old man decide to recycle the old fireplace. |
tcc 14.09.2009 01:05 |
1. Produce good music 2. Stayed together 3. Perform a lot of live shows during their career 4. Filmed some of their live shows and a lot of music videos 5. Still trying to keep the band's music alive e.g. thro' WWRY musical |

wow, some positve comments in this thread, I'm not used too seeing that on Queenzone. some things that's obvious. The first 6 or 8 queen albums, especially A night at the opera (bo rhap) was the most Important album they did. Live Aid was the most Important performance, and put them back on the map. Innuendo, very Important for queens legacy. Proving that they had longevity. "the show must go on. ' . |

1. Freddie agreeing to play Sun City. 2. Brian agreeing to play Sun City. 3. Roger agreeing to play Sun City. 4. John insisting that they play Sun City. 5. Queen playing Sun City. |

1. Freddie wrote Body Language 2. They recorded Body Language 3. They decided Body Language should their first single off of thir new album 4. They made a video for Body Language 5. Brian, Roger and that other guy snapped thier fingers REALLY GOOD in the video for Body Language. (Inspired by Zebonka) |
john bodega 15.09.2009 01:03 |
Say what you will about the song, but Deacy is a total DANCE MACHINE in that video. You can tell he's struggling not to upstage Freddie, but just look at the way he snaps his fingers in that. He could've gone solo in 82, no doubt about it. |

Impossible, so in no particular order and subject to change at whim... 1. Decide to do Live Aid thereby reinvigorating both their enthusiasm and their career. 2. Record Innuendo even though Freddie was so ill - fitting epitaph for the band (I consider it their last real studio album). 3. Release Bohemian Rhapsody as a single. 4. Do the Milton Keynes concert. [5. Have John Deacon *not* mouth the words to Play The Game in the video - used to crack me up as a child, I thought it was a play on the fact he couldn't sing, in retrospect I think I over-analysed.] 5. Do the video for I Want To Break Free. Yeah, you heard me. Everyone I know who isn't a huge Queen fan but you know likes them LOVES this video, it is what people in the UK remember and it shows their wonderful sense of humour. |

The average joe likes The works and a kind of magic era, while the hardcore fans usually describes this era of queen as shit, crap, garbage. A big difference of opinion. I want to break free is a great video. |

Oh Soapy Gonad, I think I speak on behalf of everyone here as Qwenzone [sic] when I say that I long for your clever and subtle wit. If you have any tips I'd love to receive them. Truly you are an original. With a striking pun for a username, and true alacrity of mind, I'm surprised your jokes don't go over everyone's head. Your Ardent Admirer, Angeline. |

I'm not gonna say the band as an entity but each member; 5. Roger being stubborn enough to effectively say "screw you!!" to his neighbours when they moaned about GARDEN DECORATIONS. XD (you'll find out if you're desperate enough) 4. Brian deciding not to give in to his depression. Well done bri. 3. John inventing the Deacy amp. 2. Freddie throwing his famous Hat Party! 1. Roger being clever enough to realize what marrying dominique would do for Felix and Rory. Most people dont think that way. |
Unblinking Eye 05.11.2009 04:00 |

I'm back, :D and I thought I would resurrect this thread. Queen has done so many great things, but here are just five: 1)Hiring John, thus cementing the line-up 2)Choosing the name Queen, which I love because of its numerous implications; queer, regal, and in the case of three of the members rather paradoxical. 3)Releaseing Bo Rhap as a single, thus cementing their superstar status and ensuring they would becoming legends. 4)Performing at Live Aid. It almost made up for Sun City (the single biggest mistake Queen ever made IMO), and it helped make Freddie a legend. 5)Brian, Roger and John reuniting for 'No-one But You.' A fantastic song, which BTW I regard as a proper Queen song, it would have been the perfect way for the guys to retire the Queen name. Sadly, it wasn't to be, but nonetheless, I think it's a great conclusion to the what I regard as the proper Queen era (or rather the Queen era as I don't consider Queen + Paul Rodgers to be Queen, but that's off-topic.) |
