They were using an Apple II computer program called Instant Music.
When Freddie presented it to Brian, Roger, and John they all burst out laughing uncontrollably. It was later released under a completely different title...

Well, if you give a bit more explanation about the non sequitur you started with - when, where, who - that kind of thing, and explain a bit about the source - how you came by the "information", how reliable the source might be, etc, then I'm sure the nice kitchen appliance will clarify his position also.
