Why in the world is "I Want It All" in the newest greatest hits compilation. What a boring song? Was it even a hit? |
Lookin' Divine In Good Ol' '89 23.08.2009 14:21 |
I Want IT All is one of their best songs! Probably the best on The Jiracle beside WIAWI. What a stupid prick you are. |
JacquesDaniels 23.08.2009 14:21 |
Why don't you make a more interesting song then. According to Greatest Hits II, IWIA peaked at #3 in the UK, but reached #1 all over Europe. Apparently, it was even used as a rallying song for black African youths. I suppose it has some merit for being on the Ultimate Greatest compilation. Naturally, peaking at #50 in the US, some people might have missed the impact of it entirely... |

One of their best songs from the 80's ??? Really? No, not at all. It's just only average overprized rock song ... |
brians wig 23.08.2009 15:20 |
I don't usually swear, but it's one of the best f***ing rock songs Queen ever did. |
PauloPanucci 23.08.2009 15:22 |
because... i don't know!!!! |
Joeker 23.08.2009 17:20 |
because it was used in a fucking dr. pepper commercial. nuff said. |

I Want it All i Think is not a bad song (Not as Good as their early 70s songs) and It was a very big hit and Is one of their most famous songs. |

Because it was a top 3 hit in the UK in 1989, a top 10 hit in almost around the world... appears in commercials, and and a lot of people likes the song...that's why it is a Greatest hits...what a question made by the first who posted here!...some times we have to read such things... |

I didn't know it myself but a recent thread created by user "Rhyeking" helped me find out in an amusing way what were Queen's biggest hits. And, well, if it was a hit, as it was, and it has the virtue of representing an album which is not very well known, then I think it was a very good choice. It's a catchy interesting song, though by no means my cup of tea. But I have to admit that it's a well-crafted song, even though I don't like it that much myself. One of the things I discovered in that thread is that Love Of My Life, one of my top favorites, peaked only at # 63 on the U.K charts. Apparently, it didn't have the impact it had on other countries. It was quite a surprise for me. |

... and It's worth saying that IWIA was one of the (if not "THE") highlight of the Q+PR repertoire. |

obviously this kid doesn't know his Queen history. I want it all was a big hit, and a good song. Why isn't play the game on this release? |

I think you should take the question one step back: why is another GH compilation to be released? |

In addition the the European success of I Want It All - it actually got good airplay in North America...especially in Canada...more so than anything from A Kind Of Magic....and anything else from the Miracle..... ...and it is just a kick ass song...great guitar - heavy drums....love how the music behind the verses changes...and the heavy part in the middle....I know non Queen fans who cite this as their personal favourite |
Micrówave 26.08.2009 02:22 |
Someone approached QPL recently and "wanted it all". The result? Yet another Greatest Hits CD. But fear not... there are currently 47 other Queen Greatest Hits albums that do not feature I Want It All. I'm sure you can find one. |

It was a top 10 hit as well so it's bloody obvious to anybody with a brain that it would be on a greatest hit compilation!!! Good song as well. Coined from Brian's wife Anita when she said "I Want It All and I Want It Now!! One of my favourites as well. |

Interesting to see that the topic-starter (tay120) fails to respond to the thread at all, but another account (also a newbie, called "jozef") defends the first post in remarkably similar language. A troll? Another Jake Britt account? |

A troll? Another Jake Britt account? Conservative estimates would suggest Jake has about 12 active accounts at the moment. Each one of them a different nationality. I have this feeling that i'm going to be looking at the news some evening, the headline will be about the stunning demise of a certain wee chap called Jake. |

I'm surprised you're not happy with I Want It All's inclusion. It was a top three hit in UK and featured on the 2008 tour. Without it there would be no songs from The Miracle! |

Innuendo's omission is the bigger crime, at the time Queen's first UK number 1 in 10 years, whoever thought of this whole CD package wants their heads shaken. I Want It All its simple really it made UK number 3 & hit number 1 across many territories in Europe, I often shake my head at the stupid threads on this forum & really question people's knowledge about the band. |

It was a live single so it's understandable it didn't make any impact. It was a live favourite, but the atmosphere of the performance suffers greatly in single format. If you weren't there, you probably don't "get it". |
