I personally think that Eric Carr of KISS was an excellent drummer. Noone beats Bonham however. Marky Ramone is also incredible. Sorry, almost forgot Lars Ulrich and Clive Burr (Iron Maiden).
Other than Roger, Ric Menck is my favorite drummer. Damn fine!
I also really like Ginger Baker, Mick Fleetwood, and Stan Lynch quite a bit... There are really loads of great drummers out there and I know I'm leaving out favorites here!
One of my favorites by a far margin. Not only because of his skills, but for being a wonderful songwriter and lyricist. And the only instrument which didn't have to be overdubbed when Rush released their first live recordings.
I think that ringo starr is one of the best drummers...His technique, He was a left hand drummer with a right handed kit... AND he never used a clicktrack.

have betters than ringo.. but i like he too... but have betters... of course!!!
Does Rick Allen from Def Leppard not warrant a reply from anyone?
I cannot stand Def Leppard as a rule, but a ONE armed rock drummer HAS to surely be considered one of the best, just to have learnt and continued to play after losing his arm.
Total respect to the guy.
Other than that I cannot think of anyone not mentioned already.
Charlie watts a good drummer???
Meh... If you listen to Rolling stones live in rio 2007 al his beats sound the same
1.16th hi hat, Every measure 2 kick.. he isnt a good drummer anymore, he WAS a good drummer until the start me up song(Wich sounds like a demo imo)
St. Anger is actually not that bad. Just hte production, Lars' drums and no solos make it a poor album. It has some listenable songs though! Some Kind Of Monster and Frantic are great. I alos like Shoot Me Again.
Cozy Powell! I was listening to an old playlist yesterday and heard a fantastic drummer I had forgotton about, but can't remember who or what song or anything now. Was really good though. :)
Keith Moon (listen to the isolated parts from Wont Get Fooled Again and Baba O Reilly - the multitracks are out there), Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl of course..
