Good old Blubber O'Reilly at it again. He should shoot himself. |
thomasquinn 32989 29.07.2009 11:48 |
Actually, I'd prefer if he shot Dick Cheney, Ann Coulter, Newt Gingrich and Karl Rove before turning the gun on Hannity, and then himself. If he'd be willing to also do away with Rupert Murdoch, I'd be obliged. |

The one time I visited Amsterdam my mate got mugged by two Africans with butcher knives. This was in broad daylight. I saw people at outdoor restaurants get food stolen off their plates by tramps with holes in their arms. Not a pleasant experience. |

I would count em as incidents more than a trend. If you believe the crap in that shitty Megalo-Reilly show than you're equally disturbed. |

Well since you're pickin a fight with me over something that I didn't say, I think I'm the best person to know if you're right or wrong. Unless, of course, you claim to know me better than I know myself, which would be quite an achievement. |

Of course, they won't mention that the homicide rate is higher in America thanks to the NRA and all the gun nuts who keep pushing for less gun control. |

Well done to whoever made that video, its great. I've never been to Amsterdam, but surely no matter where you are there is an element of organised crime. And aren't there legalised brothels in some parts of the US? And surely it's better, no matter what your opinions are about legal drugs and brothels, use of both carries obvious risks, surely its better to have some level of legislation and supervision of them. In some places social care workers know that some particular places are used for taking drugs, and just keep an eye on what's happening, rather then chasing kids away to use in alleyways of streets where they may not be found if they get sick go unconscious, or where they could have easier access to harder drugs or be exposed to violence. There will always be drugs, there will always be brothels, surely the aim should be to prevent harm to as many people as possible. Even if stuff is legalised, there will also always be an undercover world of crime, violence and unregulated, illegal and harmful use, just because that's there doesn't mean things shouldn't be legal. Smoking is legal and not as common as it used to be (where I live anyway) because it's frowned on and discouraged, people know the risks and there's a huge amount of tax on cigarettes. And what about the organised crime in Eastern Europe? Or Italy? Or anywhere else for that matter? What about the Ku Klux Klan? Why does Amsterdam always get slagged so much? He he, I've had a stressful week, please forgive the ranting. Must be reading too much soapbox. |

Keep drinking. I have nothing against the Second Ammendment, what I'm totally against are the people who ignore the "well regulated militia" portion of it, and by that I mean not just knowing how to load a weapon. Yes, I'm talking about the morons who proudly put these stickers on their bumpers. link Now let me tell you something, about these gun nuts. Neither one of these people is capable of responding to an emergency situation that would require the proper use of a fire weapon to protect themselves and innocent civilians from danger. It's very likely that they would either end up being shot first, or shooting an innocent bystander. Personally, I think citizens have the right use fire weapons for protection once they've gone through an extensive training for it, but in all seriousness, who is willing to pay for that? Unless they are willing to join a police or high security force that will not only given them the training, but will also pay them for their service. Come to think of it, the very few people who actually have the experience and the knowledge to handle a situation of risk, don't brag about it because it's part of their job. Just look at what happened in Columbine. Even the cops where not allowed to go inside the school to confront the attackers shooting the kids. They needed a SWAT team to come and go in and find them. The problem I see with these people is that they watch way too many movies. They all want to play Jack Bauer, and the fantasize way too much about stopping what could be the next 9/11. |

The second amendment exists for one sole purpose: to safeguard the right to revolution in case the government turns out to be a tyrrany after all. Freaks who need assault rifles to prove their masculinity, deranged communist-hunters, KKK-loonies, and left over Confederates are not covered. |

The maker of this video response to FOX should send it to FOX - or better yet, to FOX competitors who would be more likely to air it. |

I would count em as incidents more than a trend. If you believe the crap in that shitty Megalo-Reilly show than you're equally disturbed. We had 2 attempted muggings when we were in Amsterdam. Our mugging experiences were quite funny though. Two blokes pulled up on a motobike and asked us directions, we said we didn't know, they said "Give me your purse!" we said "Er... no" they then said "GIVE ME YOUR PURSE >:( " and we still said "Erm... no." Then they tried to to grab my friends handbag but she just kept hold of it, then they drove off. This could have ended in tears if they had had a gun or a knife, I do realise, but they clearly didn't. Interestingly, I live in a particularly dodgy area of London and have not once been mugged or raped or murdered, no one's ever ever approached me. Which is nice. I'm not saying that it happens all the time in Amsterdam (Or no more than in does in any capital city) and I'm sure they prey on tourists (again as they do in any capital city) It certainly didn't seem overly crime ridden to me... It seemed quite peaceful. I think it's worth adding in that I think Amsterdam's a lovely city and silly boys trying to mug me did not taint my view at all. |

one time in my home town i remember this, me and amir were on the town and he said to this young group of the ladies (maybe in their early 20s, all wearing short skirts and the heels) he says to them "i am going to rape each of you!" and we drove off, he thought to be hilarious, I told him it was fucking rude and he made me walk home........ |
