...Best Buy, all per Brian May's web site. |

Don't bother with it unless you are a collector, it's a poor gig and the band are NOT tight at all at this stage. Don't get me wrong, i love the QPR project but compared to Retun of the champions it's sub standard. One vision sounds like a shitty tribute band trying ever so hard to sound like queen! They should really have waited till the south american gigs to record and edit to dvd I think. Anyway i'm sure you'll all have your own opinions. By now. |

"poor gig" hahahahahah |

what's so funny you strange little fella? |
marcio17@queenzone.com 22.07.2009 14:02 |
I got the dvd and its image quality is pretty high. Also the sound. I think is a good gig because they play in a row so many excellent songs and solos. Cheers, |
clifton 22.07.2009 19:48 |
Roger's solo on this show is pretty poor, however on later shows he has formatted it and grown with it performing more technical and audio appealing solos. Later shows are mostly better? |
marcio17@queenzone.com 22.07.2009 23:10 |
Maybe you're right. But, I think this is an evidence of the whole tour, which was quite good. Comparing with other nowadays'groups (if we can consider them as such), I think The Cosmos Rocks and its tour were pretty high benchmarks. |

I'm slightly pissed that this wasn't released any sooner. But to be honest, I was never THAT excited to see or hear it. I'm much more interested in the announcement that Brian May made about releasing a 70s concert finally. |
PauloPanucci 23.07.2009 13:34 |
I prefered RETURN OF THE CHAMPIONS than live in Ukraine;.... RTC was more exciting because the Queen fans wanted to see Bri & Rog again.. but now i can see that today the fans does't want to see them again with Paul! |
Hitman 23.07.2009 15:34 |
excuse me i have another opinion: Cosmos rocks was in front of a 350.000 people audience, in a country where QUeen has never played (come on Sheffield is round the corner for them...so boring!) for a specific aim (against hiv). the bnd is not tight, but the audience in sheffield was poor, and the show too much tied, if you know what i mean. there are some edits because the show was far from being perfect, i second you on that. A south american show would have sounded better but...you can't have everything!Moreover...we have great recordings of the south american shows ;) yeah! |

It is a pitty that they did not have that much time to rehearse, but this is an interesting document, anyway. The sound and video quality is amazing. I think the best of their live DVDs from this era is Super Live in Japan. THAT was a tight band and a great setlist. Cheers, Ogre- |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 15.08.2009 08:21 |
I have just received an e-mail from Amazon Japan offering me Live in Ukraine. As I don't know a word of japanese, I ran it through Google language tools. This is the "translated" tracklist. I loved "C-reburiti". :D Cheers, Ogre- 1. ONE VISION-world only one -- 2. Thailand Your Mother Down 3. Must Go On Show 4. BOTOMUDO Fat Girls 5. Companions on the road to hell 6. Pointe Hammer Fall 7. I Want It All 8. Break Free (road to freedom) 9. Seagull 10. Love of My Life 11.'39 12. Drum solo 13. I'm In Love With My Car 14. ITTSU knots True Say 15. Shooting Star 16. Bad Company 17. Solo guitar 18. BIJUU 19. Last Horizon 20. Desire the name of love 21. C-REBURITI 22. Feel Like Makin Love 23. Bohemian Rhapsody 24. ROKKIN Cosmos 25. All right now 26. Wie Will Rock You 27. Champion of the Legend 28. SEIVU the Queen God |

Ha! Thailand Your Mother Down - wonderful! That's is why I never use internet-translators. They are only for a good laugh! |
inu-liger 16.08.2009 23:35 |
the 'reburiti' part would actually be how it's romanized back from the katakana characters used (they use katakana mainly for foreign loanwords, and hiragana & kanji for native Japanese words). The "C-" part doesn't change though. I've seen much much stranger things for Japanese song titles, given their fanatical use of Engrish :-P That said, I thought "14. ITTSU knots True Say" was the most hilarious one there. |
Grantcdn1 25.08.2009 23:48 |
actually looking forward to songs like Shooting Star and Bad Company live on a good quality DVD ...and any other material not played on the previous versions....I thought the Japan DVD was the best....South America would have been really cool but not in the cards |

Live in Ukraine is a great show, I preferer it than Return Of The Champions. The sound and video quality are very nice and the tracklist is very good. Tony My webpage |

I just saw the version which was broadcasted on TV . That one (in fact original) isn't very good at all. I hope the DVD is better. |

I think the BestBuy-version of de cd/dvd-combo has been released in a jewel fatbox? Could somebody who has bought the set post a good scan of it please? I am curious about the cataloguenumber. Scans of the single dvd-box are welcome too. Thanks. |
Walter B. 07.09.2009 12:51 |
I have found something... The cataloguenumber for the combo is D000453400. Usually there is a barcodenumber too (something like 050087...). Anybody who could help me with that? Or both numbers from the BestBuy DVD? |
Grantcdn1 15.09.2009 00:59 |
couldn't find this at my best buy - anyone seen this in Canada yet? |

I recently bought the CD/DVD combo (for $15.99 it's a damn good deal). For some reason, I decided to listen to the CD first. Sound quality-wise it was fantastic, but I got confused when they seemed to just abruptly stop '39 just before the first chorus. I thought a mic blew out, or Brian broke a string or something. But then the rest of the band came on and I thought, "Why didn't they bring them up before they started? That's kind of stupid!" I watched the DVD, though, and I think I prefer it over the CD despite what some of the cameras chose to capture and where they edited. Though watching it didn't make the abrupt stop in '39 any less ridiculous for me. Overall though, I really liked the concert and I'm glad I made the purchase. Though I guess from previous comments, they weren't very tight, but I was still entertained, and the audience seemed to have a good time and that's the important part. |

Yea for the first show of a tour I though they did pretty good. Shame they didn't release a later one instead with the full set list maybe one of the South American shows? I guess it was just because of the impressive crowd that the went with that one. and the AIDS thing aswell of course |

I became so enthusiastic after such a lovely start.....and a stop! Me: "Agr, May, what now???" Actually, the two of them could do it without any help. |

Has anybody noticed the number of hot women in this video? It's uncanny. I thought there'd be a root with one eyebrow in the Ukraine, but she apparently didn't attend the show. Very juggy DVD. Thumbs up. |
