I'll like to promote one of my favorite bands going right now, the band clutch. If you havn't heard them their a mixture of rock and blues. The new album is called "strange cousins from the west" check them out. They have some videos on youtube. Support good music.
@ Mike Hunt, Good call! Hell's balls, Clutch indeed rocks out. Those guys are from Charleston, WV, only a two hour drive from me -- the Empty Glass in Charleston is a good place to see them (123 Pleasant St in Morgantown WV a few notches better imho). The other legendary WV band at Donnington, Karma to Burn, is from right here in Morgantown -- Will Mecum writes crushing guitar riffs, and Nate and Rich make an amazing jazz fusion-like rythm section. Will's other band, TreasureCat, is equally great; you can find all 3 on Youtube. New K2B album on the way!

i freakin love clutch!!!!!
electric worry and whites ferry are one of my favorites.
i want more albums by them. my friend gave me "beale street to oblivion" with a few random extra tracks. amazing!
good to see, "beale street" is a great album and the song "electric worry" is one of their best. Other albums that are good, the self title album and exodus (robot hive), blast tyrant, the first album "transnational speedway" is more hardcore thrash metal if your into that scene, it's awsome. Every album they did is at least very good.

karma to burn?....Not famialar with them, I'll check them out.
@ Mike, yessir, that was true in 2002 -- you & I as Queen fans know the relative accuracy of music journalists -- but in February '09 their record label (Spitfire Records, I think) contacted Will, Rob, and Rich, flew them to L.A. for three wks of rehearsals, a full album of material was recorded/in process, and then sent them to 20+ gigs in Europe. Including Donnington as we mentioned. Roy Brewer, Will's drummer in Treasurecat, told me Tuesday (just prior to delivering another pizza, lol) that T'Cat will open for Karma on August 28 at 123 Pleasant Street in Morgantown. And definitely there on Halloween. Here's to hoping it remains true...
and here's a link to Karma's MySpace page, with more gigs listed. Hope you get a chance to see 'em live!
I misread that as 'good support music' for a sec.
I can't see that being a popular sales pitch for a band. "Well, we're ok I guess. We're a really good support act".
