Queen The Story Of Queen 1987 dutch TV documentary Broadcast on Veronica TV info: The Story Of Queen was broadcast in 1987 on Dutch television station Veronica. It contained interviews with all band members, official promo videos and some live footage from Hammersmith '79. I can't share official released material over here so I've edited out the official released footage as well as the Hammersmith '79 bits. For those who are interested: I will upload the Hammersmith '79 seperate. (For those interested in the complete documentary: it's possible to mail me so we can do a trade.) What remains is a collection of 13 minutes of interviews. This footage was shot in 1984 backstage during the works tour. Some famous Freddie Mercury quotes can be found here. For instance: Freddie tells about how he wrote "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" while having a bath and explains that "We Are The Champions" is a song for winners. Lineage: 1987 tv broadcast > master vhs > dvd-r > dvd shrink 100% rip > sony vegas 8.0 re author + added fading between interviews > 8 mb/s cbr + lpcm audio > sony dvd architect > dvd > winrar (best level rar file) > you Download link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=303a2fje Enjoy! Hi, thank you very much for this share. Could you share also the Hammersmith 79 bits ? Or at least some screenshots so that I can compare it to my best version and to know if I should bother you again ? :-) |

Thankyou, but can one of the moderators confirm whether it really is necessary to remove promo videos from TV broadcast material? This isn't Dime-up-their-arses-adozen. |

Dime is a great site. No need for bitching. If you are interested in the complete documentary including the official footage you know how to contact me for a trade... |

I've shared 2 torrents there, both got banned even when they didn't harm the rules in any way. The best thing was when I shared "Complete Kampuchea Concert", I asked the moderators if it's OK to share it, the response was that I can share it if I remove Now I"m Here, I did so and it got banned anyway within an hour. So sorry, I wouldn't call it a great site. Anyway, could you please post a screenshot or 2 of the Hammersmith footage ? |

This documentary is from 1987 and its original running time is 55 minutes . |

I think the complete unedited documentary can be shared here. We also had the Munich 79 documentary which has some video clips. |

Unpacked ok on 4th attempt [/img] Nice quality and excellent editing - THANK YOU I too would like to see the complete unedited program though, please upload it !! |
onevsion 19.07.2009 07:49 |
Glad you like it! The only thing the unedited program has extra is some official promo clips and Hammy 79 footage. I shared the Hammy 79 footage in another topic. What remains is some promo clips... We all have greatest video hits 1 and 2. Right? Don't get me wrong, I have no problem uploading the whole thing, I just don't think it's very special... |

While this place specializes in Queen and isn't quite as strict about official material, most new recordings come out at places like Dime and The Traders' Den from collectors who aren't speciifcally Queen collectors. Three such Queen recordings came out on Dime last month and probably would not have otherwise emerged. When's the last time a completely uncirculated recording was shared here? |

a lil joke ...but definetly sites devoted to specific artists are more open, and that allows upgrades, mix of sources, etc. |
