Do you know what is the sound compared to the Gypsy Eye bootleg ? I thought it should be better, but I got scared by the word "bad" :-) |
Marknow 29.06.2009 15:24 |
No sample given, I have put a high prority on track 1 in utorrent, I will post it here soon as i get it. He used an external mic with a decent recorder, so it shouldnt be that bad even for mono. Altough he was close to the stage so the recording could be drowned with bass rumble. |

Ginger01 29.06.2009 15:36 |
I listened to the first few seconds of GSTQ and it's not bad by 1974 standards - I'm quite optimistic! |
The Real Wizard 29.06.2009 15:50 |
"Bad" just might be a comparison with the Boston 76 show. Most audience recordings are "bad" by that standard! I wonder if it's an alternate source... |

His upload speed is horrific 5.2 kb/s, thats dial up speed. Dont hold your breath. |
Ginger01 29.06.2009 16:31 |
His speed was faster earlier on - 40-50 kbs. More likely is that he has turned his computer off for the night - he did say he only seeds for 2-3 hours a night. We've had our ration - now we have to wait until tomorrow [/img] [/img] [/img] Stay tuned! |
pittrek 29.06.2009 16:38 |
I'm listening to a few parts with VLC and it doesn't sound bad at all. Maybe too much bass, but it will be still a pretty enjoyable recording |
Mkls 29.06.2009 16:39 |
a bit hissy, slightly too much bass but powerful - definitely an upgrade! |

Late 90's I surfaced this show and made a tape > minidisc transfer (22khz) later I made a cdr of it. And made a lot of money of this one! he he... but the thing is this can't be the original because GSTQ wasn's played but taken form a later UK show and tagged to the end of it.... |

Sikke van der Veen wrote: Late 90's I surfaced this show But it was taped by someone else over 20 years before then. Therefore your copy was not the only copy, nor does it sound as good as the master copy. |

Mr. Scully 03.07.2009 12:37 |
To be honest I can't see almost any difference compared to the bootleg I had for years. But I can see this is two minutes shorter than my old version and so it fits on 1 disc. Any idea how is that possible? :-) Maybe the playback speed is faster or did he cut some breaks between songs? |

It has now been proven that God Save The Queen definitely come from the same tape (see in the topic with the torrent of the same recording). Therefore, could you please add a link to God Save The Queen, to complete the share ? Many thanks once again. Regards, Olivier, Belgium. |
