And both in Holland. The MPEg i made form the tape included "the crazy little thing called love award, the rotterdam pre show interview and the WWRY fast version of rotterdam with Don stop me now overdubs. It must have been late 1979 Queen were invited to recieve a platinum award to celibrate their succes of CLTCL. |

Hey Peter! I was wondering if you consider re doing the dvd you made http://sites.google.com/site/queenrecordings/video-recordings/1979-01-29video The second youtube film you posted contains footage that could be usefull for a new edit of your dvd... Maybe Sikke could share his MPEG version of that youtube movie (the second one) That would be great! |
Shadysenator RHYE 30.06.2009 09:03 |
hi Ducksoup, Well I have the Mpeg on my computer which is stored in my basement. I still have to take out the harddiscs and write them to my new QUEEN harddisc. At this moment I ;m digitalising everything I have, and hope to make soon some shares on this site. I can sent someone the video tape which it is sourced from : i recorded it at the time directly from my VCR to an external Videocd recorder. At the time my computer with windows 98 could not play or use MPEG II files so i recorded it in a mpegI encoding which is awful of course. i don;t have the equipment to trnsfer a videotape to my computer maybe someone can ? |
Mkls 30.06.2009 10:24 |
yes! glad to help out. I have the -same- sourced tape , but it misses the gold disc award. |
onevsion 30.06.2009 10:33 |
Great Miklos! Maybe you could do the transfer for Sikke and share it on Queenzone? Would be great to have the pro footage in the best possible quality! |

The DVD was also shared here Hi Pittrek, Yes it was taken from the japanese jewels docu. My MPEg featered the original broadcast on the Dutch TV!! The strangest thing is the Jewels docu lacks the fast version of WWRY (which in the broadcast was overdubbed with singl e version of don;t stop me now) , but includes 2 tracks which weren;'t shown o Dutch tv! When I asked GB if they'd gave the japanse tv station the master tapes he'd answered NO! And it was a surprise to him that the JAPANESE JEWELS could broadcast extra (unseen) tracks. So I think the dutch arcieves footage was gaven to the japanese ? Someone could ask himself how much footage the Dutch recorded at the time ? |

Looking forward to your shares Sikke! I'm busy with my first terrabite ! Hope to finish it within the next 2 months! This is all bootleg audio only , and Queen only as I never die hard collected solo stuff! The exciting thing is I was always a die hard tape collector so most of it should be a different gen. a what other people transefered to CDR the last 10 years. A Bad thing is : a huge part of it I did transfer to MINIDISC (god I hate myself) cause at the time it was the most perfect and sound quality wise the best way. Later on I digitally transfered these to my Pioneer stand alone CDR machine and I threw away the cassette tapes.... My brother retrieved many un digitalisized tapes from my parents house and vrought them to my house. Will take a while and of course before I finish these tape to wave transfers.... So patient please... will try to upload as many shows as I can at this time. So any one who wants the Rotterdam vhs tape ? |

Thanks tcc much appreciated. BTW have you seen the It's Late video from this show: link Someone has sync'd the bootleg audio to the silent 8mm video. It's only 37secs long but it's really excellent! Does anyone know if the full sync'd video has ever been shared? |
pittrek 11.12.2010 03:17 |
A 2-source mix will be shared probably today. The silent audience video IS synchronized properly to the audience audio recording, but it wasn't shared here. Yet |
que.123 11.12.2010 06:43 |
Wow thanks pittrek I'm really looking forward to that. The original silent 8mm film was a bit boring even for die-hard Queen fans but with correctly sync'd audio it's going to be a whole new ball game!!! |

As you all know, megaupload is token offline by the FBI. Since Multiupload.com has also some problems with their services at the moment, I will upload for the time being to a alternate service like multiupload, called uploadmirrors.com. Here are the new fresh links to the original files which were shared in this topic: link link link link link link link |
