Check out all the info that is given in the original topic.
Do you think that those people who put so much effort in providing us the best possible soundquality appreciate MP3 uploads?
Yes, also note that Peter is currently uploading on rapidshare/mediafire the lossless version too, and maybe is he correcting speed as it seems he noticed some speed "issues". So the ultimate version is just around and you already come and offer it with quality decreased. People can convert to MP3 themselves for their own use, don't worry !
So this share should be deleted I guess, note that there is a second show on offer, it would be sad this second one didn't come to light just because of a mp3 share, eventually because Queenzone improved a lot in that field... don't ruin all the efforts done !
Note that we thank you for wanting to share anyway.
Yes, I'm uploading the original files to mediafire, but my upload speed is today extremely slow. Currently 7th from 8 rar files are being uploaded, so I guess within an hour the links will be here .
But it's the exact same version (same files) which are seeded on dimeadozen. A speed-corrected version will definitely be done, if nobody else makes it in the next days I will try to do it
Anyone who downloads this while a lossless copy is shared, is HOPELESS.
If you cannot burn a personal mp3 copy from the lossless share you are HOPELESS.

people do enjoy this recording very very much. that's why there's no need for MP3. We all know how to make MP3's of it for our Ipod or whatever and it's a personal decision to do that after the download of the files as shared by the uploader.
You're very welcome to share, as is everyone. Only, you should go for the highest possible quality. And uploading this in MP3 is nothing short of totally crazy given the fact it is available in lossless(and easy to get).

It's not that people won't enjoy/appreciate it because there will surely be plenty who will. The trouble is that when tapers see their hard work being passed around in a vastly degraded format such as mp3 then they get quite rightly annoyed and feel less inclined to share their other recordings.
When someone uploads a recording in both 16/44 and 24/96, chances are they've got an ear for quality that far exceeds mp3, and they'd want it to stay that way.
Keeping a recording lossless is the best possible way to say thank you to the people who got the tape out there in the first place. To do otherwise would be like finding a new original painting by Da Vinci and scribbling on it.
I'm glad to see so many quality-conscious folk posting in this thread. This place certainly has come a long way in the last few years.
