Took quite a while to get any recordings done for quite some time, even though I said last year we were likely to record several demos and have them up...didn't exactly happen due to various situations then, including a renovation of our guitarist's basement (our practice/recording space), as well as his jaw surgery among other things.
But we have been now finally getting around to recording some more stuff (new and renewed!), especially to have some CD's (or EP's rather :-) to sell at the shows, especially as we get more of those happening this summer...have played two shows this year already. It's all up on our main website's audio player @ www.unbalanced.ca/audio.html
Disregarding the fact these are just incomplete rough mixes (backing vocals still need to be recorded and THEN some more mixing and all), tell me what you guys think! I'd like some constructive criticism and feedback :-)
Also, there are videos up from our May 26th show at my old high school St. Joseph H.S. up on YouTube @ www.youtube.com/inuliger
I checked out the stuff on YouTube. The only thing I would say is that the sound (probably from the video cam itself) is just a tad duff for me. Otherwise I enjoyed what I seen.
By the way..... is your guitarist using a Gibson Robot guitar?

St. Joseph's is incidentally the name of my old high school as well, though it's not the same as yours. I watched the Youtube videos only, pretty cool. Refreshing change from all that mallcore shit people play these days...

Cheers,
Dave.
Cheers.
Yes, that is indeed a Gibson Robot guitar that Josh is using. First run edition. It's a very sweet piece of equipment.

Yeah there are a few of them around, including at least one in the US and I think another one elsewhere in Canada.
Mallcore shit, LOL. Yeah quite a few of the local 'scene' bands here think they're so awesome dressing up emo or goth, playing whiny three-chord metalcore shit just for the sole purpose of getting the crowds moshing.
I wonder what the scene bands are like for you guys out there?

Thought so. I was gonna get one till I seen the price. Think I will wait a while till the price comes down.
Keep up the good work....

Well, my state(West Bengal) has quite a few rock bands(Fossils, Chandrabindoo, etc.) but we have an even bigger metal scene. It used to be awesome but now it's saturated with bands consisting of high-school dropouts/kids with rich parents with minimal talent and the majority of these bands are metalcore without knowing it...
I once attended an underground concert one band's vocalist came up to the mic and said, "(with a pathetic death growl) WHO WANTS TO HEAR SOME LAMB OF GOD!??!" and everyone went crazy. I personally love Death Metal but Lamb of God is a pathetic mockery of Groove Metal and Death Metal. They're a metalcore band who pretend to be Groove Metal but are really crap. Anyway, so the band performed and the vocalist screamed till he lost his voice and it was really funny 'cause all those kids were demanding an encore(weird enough).
The thing I found really amusing was that the band(All That Disappears) is influenced by the Christian Metalcore band All That Remains but their vocalist has a pentagram tattoo on one of his hands and various other Satanic imagery on his body. Ironic.

See I always thought the Robot was just for hobbyists who can't play, or musicians who've already made it!!!
LOL. Well we do poke fun at it during our shows, mainly joking about how Josh doesn't (need to) know how to tune a guitar. In reality he does, but the GR's make it sooooo much faster and simpler to do....their main selling point really :-)
I'm a little lost; the Robot is the auto-tuning one, I think? But the other Gibson guitar ... the one with the ability to separate out each string to a different output, ETC... is that yet another model?

Yes, the Robot models are the auto-tuning ones. I wouldn't know about the other one you mentioned, quite honestly. Although Gibsons are nice guitars, the only guitar I've done lots of research on is the Brian May Red Special.
