In my opinion I do think that Mac's are far superior to PC's, (Windows). Microsoft have really been out of the lime light of late.
They tried to combat the Ipod with............Zune. I have never even seen one. They laughed in the face of Apple when Iphone come out, yet the Iphone is really really really doin well.
As as far as personal computers are concerned, Leopard in my opinion determined by usage is much more safer, stable, smoother than windows. May it be Vista, Xp and 7, Apple really have them hands down.
Putting all sales figures aside, what with windows being more popular, Apple is is making a great and solid name for it self again.
Like most age old arguments, this one is a corker (pointless and stupid).
I have a Mac and a PC and I couldn't be happier. People who limit themselves to one or the other are stubborn. OR they can't afford a Mac, which I understand completely. Took me years before I could get my own but I couldn't be happier with it.
I would say though that Windows machines aren't quite as crap as they were a few years ago. Still haven't caught up. Vista is a pile of monkey toss, but Windows 7 sounds pretty decent from what I've been reading.
... I have both, and use both. ranging from Leopard through to XP, Vista and 7.
But I find that doin all my media work, the Apple wins hands down. Hardly no Driver issues. No freez's. I-life is a realy great kick ass program to get you started right away. All the dramas I had with windows are just not there on the MAC. You might say that the reason you not having windows problems is becuase you using a mac not a Pc. Well, the same can be said about cars. Im not having holden troubles because I drive a BMW.
Mac's are made by Apple. All parts, all designes.. all from the one place. Windows dont offer that as such.

That wasn't aimed at you or your thread, FYI. The point is that this topic (usually) gets to be that way because of irrational silliness on both sides. I've been a Mac user since 1995 and believe me I've heard it all...
I've got a PC, although I'm using MAC at the College of Art. I think the OSX looks great, but there are some things that really bug me, I don't think it's as userfriendly as Windows.
If I had to choose, I'd choose PC. It's more stable than Apple users claim it to be, and I'm just used to it. And all of the music software that I use at the moment is for PC. (Or I use PC versions of the software) And I don't want to get it all over again for MAC.
But maybe I'll use a Macbook in the future, for better Max/Msp live Performance

I can see what you mean with it not being as user friendly, but I find that being due to the Mac making everything more simple. I know that doesnt really explain my point very well, posibly due to it being first thing in the morning. But Ill get back to you.... ehehe
Macs are in some ways better than PCs, but I personally don't find them worth the high price.
Everything you can do with a Mac you can do it with a PC, but I do admit that it's easier with the Mac.

Rightfully so. What you can do on a Mac you can do on PC. I opted for the Mac Mini. Its not an Imac nor a Mac book. Its a desktop mac that you plug in your items from you Pc. The price was great and it comes with great software that if you were to buy a Pc you would need to by software. I can add my video camera, snap shot camera, Music keyboard all with out needing drivers. Before this I was on the Pc and did need to search for the drivers. The use of ease on the Mac was pretty impresive.
At this point in time, leopard does appear to be a better OS that Vista and 7. There are many reasons for this, which I am happy to discuss.
I believe Mac does exactly the same, A couple of months ago there was someone standing at my school from Apple handing out leaflets about a student discount on Macbook Pro's. They were also filled with crap like "Better than Windows, more stable, etc"
