I want to share some things with you. I hope you can appreciate that.
Do you want to know more about something I recently noticed? It's a breathtaking similarity between the voice of Marc Martel from Canadian Christian rockers Downhere and Freddie himself. Download the CD for free at http://www.musichristian.com/downhere/download Just listen to this track 'Surrender' at 0.49. Which voice do you here? Exactly.
There is this church in New Jersey (Renaissance Church) that has services about famous rock songs. When they were trying to do Bohrap, they couldn't find a church member that could do justice to the song. They invited Marc Martel and their attempt is worth watching and hearing at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGcDpnxtqsc
And if this is not enough: The guy is even looking like him!
First of all, it's not my band. Second, I didn't ask what your opinion is about the band, but I'm interested in your thoughts about the simmilarity between the voices.

Aw come on, I'm just joshing.
Jokes aside, I don't think he sounds a thing like Freddie. Great singer, though!
I don't think I'm going to get any Freddie Pelvic Thrusts, am I?
Sorry, you religious tricksters, I'm way ahead of you. I'm sure the guitarist sounds a lot like Brian, the bass player has a meter like John Deacon, and the drummer hits the open high-hat and snare at the same time... just like Roger.
I'm still not going to listen to even three seconds of your Christian band. I don't think Jesus would either.
The song is pretty good, the band is solid, and the singer is fantastic, with some slight resemblances to Mercury. If he's half as good as this live, then he's got it made.

Zebonka, thanks for your reaction. Maybe it is because English isn't my native language, that I do not recognize jokes quick enough.:)

It's nice to notice that three years later there are more fans who thinks that Marc Martel and Queen fits perfectly[/img]
I think the Queen Extravaganza does a great job.
Interesting to read my thoughts from three years ago.
I must have been the only person who wasn't impressed with the Somebody To Love audition video. But after seeing the clips from the Montreal show, I'm sold.
I assume that Christian Rock Band 'Downhere' are gay friendly and not the "fags are going to hell" type?
Otherwise it must be challenging for Martel to sing "Somebody To Love" knowing it was written with a man in mind.
