1980.11.29 Essen (1st source) - Flac - rapidshare
| Queenrockyou 28.05.2009 10:01 |
QUEEN 1980.11.29 Essen, Grugahalle This should be the first version described on www.queenlive.ca , but unfortunately no exact lineage was given to me. So I can only say AUD > ? > CDr(x) > WAV > Flac for that one. Probably someone has the same version as described on queenlive, and can compare the ffp’s, to tell if it’s exactly the same version here. They will be included in my second message in this thread. Some songs are missing here, but it is the best of the two sources circulating, the sound is really enjoyable, Bob gives it a « A- ». The second source (known by now) is complete, but it seems only a lossy version was offered amongst traders. Probably someone here can check his own collection and tell if his version is lossless, then someone here could create a two-source mix, to make the ultimate version of this show. I don’t think it would be useful to create one with the mp3 version… Sorry Yara, but I won’t give this share a name, as it is a RoIo, I prefer only multi-sources bear a name and stand-alone sources live their own life, or only have a name if the taper/sharer gave it a name… Therefore my share is far less sexy ;o) But hope you’ll enjoy that one! Anyway, I know I can’t beat Pittrek !! Maybe the second source will be found as lossless and Pittrek will grab his hands on that and give his own share a name… Who knows ;o)= Tracklisting : CD1 : 01. Overture 02. Jailhouse Rock 03. We Will Rock you (fast) 04. Let Me Entertain You 05. Play The Game 06. Mustapha 07. Death On Two Legs 08. Killer Queen 09. I'm In Love With My Car 10. Get Down, Make Love 11. Need Your Loving Tonight 12. Save Me 13. Now I'm Here 14. Dragon Attack CD2 : 01. Love Of My Life 02. Keep Yourself Alive 03. Guitar Solo 04. Battle Theme 05. The Hero 06. And, yes, the second source has largely circulated as lossy, therefore that means that finding a good quality version is now almost impossible… So no need to make this one lossy ! Convert to MP3 only FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL USE and keep the Flac files somewhere for possibly passing that to someone in the future. But you know that by now anyway ! Regards, Olivier, Belgium. EDIT : Track 4 of CD2 is "The Battle", not "Flash"... After downloading, correct the name of the file and the info.txt ! |

Hi, Olivier Ruth! I hope you're ok. Well, do I get spoiled on this website or not? Thank you so much! This is such a treat! A concert from the game tour. A good concert from the Game Tour. And in lossless format, it's the perfect gift. Thank you so much for the share, Olivier. Being such a fan of this tour as I am, I sure will listen to it a whole lot. Nice share! Best regards and have a good day! Yara |

Hi Olivier, There's a mistake in the tracklist:-) It was not Flash that was played this night but 'Battle theme'. The first performance of Flash was in birmingham 6/12/1980. thanks:-) |
| Queenrockyou 01.06.2009 11:01 |
OK, corrected in the first post here, but you'll have to rename the file manually and correct the info.txt after downloading too ! Regards, Olivier, Belgium. |

Hey :) I know, this post is really old, but is there any chance, someone still has these files and can upload them anywhere or send them somehow? All the links (including the torrent ones) from this concert: /detail/live/520/queen-live-29-11-1980-grugahalle-essen-germany.html?fbclid=IwAR2esuX60SnSSip8B___xG8jQN4p30D2svazu6qgf0wE0Dr7JV_jfrbklvs aren't working anymore :/ Thanks in advance :) |

link And here's source 2 of this show: /queenzone/1318727.html Have fun ! The end of the first chorus of Tie Your Mother Down is one of my all time favourite moments in recorded live music. It shows how completely pro May and Taylor have always been at what they do, adjusting a song arrangement on the fly after breaking a guitar string. |
