I've been listening to youtube alot lately and I recently came across by 'Alone' by Heart. What struck me was how much it sounds like 'Is This The World We Created'? The melodies struck me as extraordinarily similar, while the voices of the respective lead singers (granted, Heart's lead singer was female) also struck me as quite similar. I'm really speaking of the first 40 seconds or so of Alone.
I know that Alone (which was was originally realeased in 1983) had nothing to do with ISTWWC, but do you think that Heart's 1987 version may have? Or is it simply that I see a Queen connection with alot of unrelated music?

I don't see much similarity other than that they're both piano ballads... But yeah, Ann Wilson has often been called "the female Freddie Mercury"...
I'd be interested to know where exactly in ITTWWC the piano kicks in....Apart from that the only resemblance lies in the melody line of the first few words.

Sorry, I haven't heard the song in a long while so maybe that's why I called it a piano ballad. But it still is a ballad and the songs are similar but Heart's "Alone" is more intense.
