Mr Lambert, of Highlander fame, might be up for the Freddie Mercury role in any future film... I saying no more....might be just gossip but interesting....
well, he's gone through heavy facial surgery, so it won't be difficult to apply some more make up and a fake moustache on him to make him look like Freddie :P !!
OK, way to start a rumour...ha ha, my fault heard to end of a conversation and jumped wildly... turns out it was a discussion about Adam Lambert winner of American Idol who sang Bo Rap during the series
If they make a movie, lets hope the story is about the 4 of them the group and their wonderful music the Rock for all Ages, the chemistry between the band members and not focus on Aids or the freak show that was Freddie's sexuality boring boring boring!!!! or have some actor talking like a campy fag lisping every five seconds. I like a lot of people admired the group as performers the most especially given the freedom to express themselves on stage, after all they mastered all the genres of music.
Johnny? No, thanks...
To be honest, I really do want a Queen film. But the person to play Freddie has to look and sound like him. I don't mean have an amazing singing voice, but an english accent. I really liked the idea of that Borat guy doing it, but apparently he doesn't want to..x
There have been rumours about this "so called Queen movie" for about 3 or 4 years from what I remember from other Queen boards. I think this is so not true and I cannot imagine that there is anything left about Queen which needs to be packed on another DVD in the end.
Most of the things have been written, most of the things have been filmed or do we really need to know all the names of Freddie's Kois or the 10th version of Roger trying to dye his hair and Brian denying that he doesn't dye his hair and yet another story about John confirming that he is still on holiday ;-).

any of you folks started to write the screen play ?...héhéhé...
Now this is what I DO know. screen play written by Michael Cunningham (The Hours), and it centres around the weeks before Queens appearance at Live Aid. No idea why they chose that period in Fred's life but hey there you go

WTF?
Even if the guy could act (which is a crap shoot at best), he looks and sounds NOTHING like Freddie (plus he's way too old). This has got to be a troll.
