Thought I would put something up here now before the album and tour begins for all those here who turned me on to the ol' Majesty. Hope they 'steal' a lick or two from Queen for the album (as they generally do per the thread in the general discussion).
Hopefully, the new music will match the excellence of the cover art.
Would like to hear any comments to the lucky Euros who get to see them before they come back across the pond. Am looking forward to seeing them in Philly, in our 'backyard' the next night in Columbia/DC with my wife, and then in Joisey the following week.
Unlike Queen, they always do a different set list, which is great. Just hope they keep the 'Ant Odyssey' intro, and would keep 'Razor's Edge' as the closing number.

Hi, *goodco*!
Nice to see you around again!
It all seems so exciting. I never regreted attending their concerts. I hope they come back to Brazil.
I am looking forward to the new material too and I sure you guys are going to have a hell of a good time!
There are a couple songs up on YouTube already, and they're far better than anything on Systematic Chaos (save for perhaps Ministry of Lost Souls). On that record they treaded no new ground (which contradicts the very term 'progressive' band), but the gothic thing is a fantastic fit. They're focusing on the song, which is always what they have done best, not the instrumental wanking that wasted far too much time on the last record. We know they can play... we knew it 20 years ago.
"This will be a DT album with 'A Change of Seasons', 'Octavarium', 'Learning to Live', 'Pull Me Under' and 'The Glass Prison'....all on one album." -- Mike Portnoy
And as long as they do it in a new way, it's bound to be great. I'm very much looking forward to having renewed faith in this band, as they are one of the few bands near the mainstream who have full control over what they create. They're holding the torch, so hopefully they'll deliver like they have in the past with Scenes and Octavarium.
