This share is a mix of the Munich 29-06-1986 concert shared by Sir GH some months ago and a CD called "Shivers Down My Spine", both from the same source but with different generation levels and sound quality. The "Shivers" CD does have a much better quality than the Sir GH share, but is unfortunately far from complete. For personal use I made a mix of both and here you can find the result. Hopefully everybody likes it, but of course feel free to make your own mix or maybe a better idea will be, to share this concert complete in the same quality (or better) as the "The Shivers" CD... The information about the Sir GH share, can easily be found on his famous site, but with this addition that I have add some high/low frequencies and changed the volume level to make the difference between both sources a little less. The "Shivers" CD is, as far as I am convinced, a homemade CD, which I've got somewhere in the late nineteen’s. As said it is incomplete, but covers most of CD1, which is the less quality part of the Sir GH share. (Since his CD2 has a better sound Quality). For those who are interested I will also share the tracks from "The Shivers" CD separately with the original artwork (with a hilarious back cover). To be honest the back cover says that it is copy 18 of 30, but my CD is a copy of number 18, so I do not have the original number 18. It also indicates to have more songs on it, but the last 4 are missing. If there is somebody who can tell more about the origin of this CD...please TELL! For those linage freaks: Sir GH Share \ Nero wave editor 4 (add high/low freq. changed volume level) \ Nero Burn (re-tracked\cross fading) \ CDR \ Audio Graber 1.83 \ wav \ Flac Frontend 1.7.1 \ Flac Shiver Down My Spine CDR (1) \ Audio Graber 1.83 \ Wav \ Nero wave editor 4 \ Nero Burn (re-tracked\cross fading) \ CDR \ Audio Graber 1.83 \ wav \ Flac Frontend 1.71. \ Flac The MIX: Track list: CD1: 1. Thanks, this looks really great! It's always an immense pleasure to get a better sounding copy. Even a slight upgrade is wonderful, let alone a big one. Like you I hope the entire recording in great quality will surface. This upload is certainly the perfect occasion to do that:-) thanks for uploading both a mix and a separate version too. |

May I ask why are the files tagged as Genesis - Live in Groningen 1975 ? :-) |

Thanks for all your work, Nordico! For now this is the definitive version of the show out in the open. But it's such a horrible shame that the 'Shivers' CDR was made by someone who was purposely trying to keep the best version for himself. Not only are 8 songs missing, but the volume is far too high from You're So Square onward, so it clips, distorting it... it's no accident. |

I had never before listened to Freddie's vocal improvisation with the audience after A kind of Magic. He does some great things, including some falsetto bits! Queen is not the band of lenghty improvisations but still they often really surprise me. When they're in great shape they do all those little surprising things that make me prefer the live stuff over the studio work. I used to regret that Freddie's voice is not always in brilliant shape but lately I've really come to appreciate what he does with it when he struggles with it. I truly admire his ability to change melody lines on the spot. Those little changes make it all the more interesting too. For example: During the first few Magic shows he really went for the high notes during A kind of magic. While his vocie got weaker he wasn't able to do that anymore but intelligent choices of notes made up for it. I really feel he sang that song really well. Roger can handle it too but during the QPR tours I've always felt Paul struggled with it a great deal. In terms of timing and dynamics I prefer Freddie over Paul anytime. |

I just read on queenlive.ca(and I've read it before haha) that this show took place on the day Argentina won the world cup against Germany. So, on this day Diego Maradona, the man who came on stage with Queen on March 8th 1981, won the most important trophee of his career:-) I hope Queen managed to cheer up the Germans attending the show! |

Simply the best, certainly during that cup:-) As a kid I was pretty talented myself, doing all the Maradona and Ronaldinho tricks haha(like walking 50 metres with the ball lying on my head or juggling 2000 times:-) |

May I ask why are the files tagged as Genesis - Live in Groningen 1975 ? :-) That's funny isn't it..? The reason is that Audio grabber don't ask in which folder you would like to store the files, unless you change it yourself...as you could imagine I didn't change it, so the folder from a previous "grab" was still pre-defined as "Genesis - Live In Groningen 1975". I renamed the files but the tags...remained there |
