Hello everyone ! Let me join in.... Due to the sharing spirit here these days, and seeing the will to document Queen live history and to respect the quality, here is my contribution. These are my own recordings of Queen + Paul Rodgers in Antwerpen and Paris during the 2008 tour. From the masters !! Recordings of these concerts have been shared here, but my recordings are in better quality as I was told. So I'm happy to bring them here now. They were not shared before because I wanted to have them circulating a little among the true fans, the traders to know what was thought about these, and also because another version existed of these shows. Hopefully some other sources will circulate also !! The more sources we have, the more quality and documentation we have in the end !! Before placing the links and the info.txt files, I have to thank some people here. I was able to buy a good quality recorder and external mikes and amplifier and so on (which I now sell), I was able to take it in the hall, but I wasn't able to do more. So I thank Pittrek for the transfer and slight remaster he did, this guy is full of ressources, but you already know it all !! He spent so many hours on Queen recordings, I was happy he freed some more hours to work on my recording. Bloody thanks Peter !!!! The second person is Alex, who made a splendid work on the artwork. This guy is full of ressources, but you already know it all !! He spent so many hours on Queen artworks, I was happy he freed some more hours to work on the artwork for my own recordings. Bloody thanks Alex !!!! You rule !! The third person is Vali (how are guy ? no news !!), who also created a second excellent artwork. Even if this is not included here, it's just because Alex created some other artwork on the same pattern (you will find here something called "Artwork 2", which for the London recording of Marknow, don't know why it is here but hey, I won't reupload !!). Vali is also full of ressources, the only problem is that he can't play football without bruising his feet ;o) !! You rule !! Hope your legs are OK now !! The fourth person is Daffy The Duck, who made no splendid work on anything ;o) But he came with me at the last minute to Paris, as I had a ticket and another friend of mine couldn't come. He spent some time at the café before and after the show, helped me hide in the hall because of the security (always good to have a friend taller than you !!), and allowed me to spend an excellent evening. This guy has a limited bandwith, but he is very friendly !!! But of course you already know that all !! What you don't know (but what I do) is that a French can drink a lot of beer too !! ;o) The fifth person is Jjeroen, who I met in Paris, he was just besides me for all the gig, and we met after for a beer (oh no, an orange juice, he was full of the "don't drink and drive" spirit !!) and a little talk. Believe me Jeeroen, my english will get better one day !! I was slightly afraid of him and his (loud) friends at the start of the concert, then heard someone calling him JJeroen and heard the much-known "Roger-Ahhhh !!!!" scream. That's on my recording !!!! The fifth and sixth person are Bob and Martin, as their excellent work to on the documentation of Queen live history, on link and link respectively, inspired me a lot and led to the purchase of the recorder. I also thank the guy who was closed to us with his two nieces, they left quickly to hunt for the band's hotel and for autograph, like they did in 2005, they were extremely friendly and you can hear us talking a little at the start of the Paris recording. Let's hope you can understand French language ! Then I now have to thank ALL the people I traded that one with, on every continent (except Africa, but I don't know why!). It was a sort of first launch for me in the trading circuit but I enjoyed every trade I made, never anything negative to say, and most of all these guys were all very friendly, I'm really honoured and happy to have met them. I won't name you, so you know who you are guys !!! Keep up the hard work and don't hesitate to come back to me for future trades or a little hello !! I'm always happy to help as you all know, so don't hesitate to ring the bell !!! Take care of you all !! To be 100% honest, if I taped this show, it's because I REALLY appreciated those excellent people in the Queen fans community, and 99% (hey, that's almost 100% !!) of the people on Queenzone ! If not, I would not have taped that concerts at all. Thanks for all you brought me along the last years, the shares of the course, but also the friendship^, the good spirit, the discussions (whatever they were), the will to be always helpful, and all that positive attitude. So I know have to thank everyone who will download that and will preserve quality. Really guys, do a little homework and keep it lossless; that REALLY worths it in the end !! Keep those files onto a data DVD; and share them as they were when you received them. Do the lossy conversion to MP3 for yourself, but don't do it for someone else. That's not fair, I invested a lot of money for an excellent recording and did my best to avoid every loss of quality, asked for one of the best at remastering to work on that, asked for the best "Artwork-er" around, and made that one out in the trading circuit with the best traders I met (I knew for sure they would respect the quality). So what is around is in the best condition it could be. Think about all the work before you received that ! Oh, I was about to forget !!! This has been created as a 4CD box (2CD for each recording), so the artwork is for the whole thing. Please don't split it, and keep it like it is And I know I talk too much, I always do (sorry Peter, Bob and Martin for the length of my emails, I know you are all always pretty busy !). Now I shut up !! In the next messages you will find the text files and the links. Once again, DOWNLOAD EVERYTHING AND SHARE THEM AS A WHOLE !!! Don't split them !!! Some nice 4 CD boxes can be found in your computer and music stores, you can find them easily, so please keep it all complete ! Trade them as a 4CD box and not as 2 * 2CDs ! I uploaded all those mediafire links when mediafire was working fine, and downloaded the whole thing again and checked all the files, without anything being corrupt. So it must be OK, if you have trouble please try downloading again. Hope you still have some time and bandwith left to download all that. feel free to create a torrent of that here and anywhere where the quality is respected. Have a nice week everyone ! Very Very Kind Regards everyone, Olivier, Belgium. |

(Sorry for my bad ENGLISH) THANKS! I think Mediafire suffers a little these days. Usually, you try again later (one or two days if needed), and it works. So I don't think it needs a reupload, but a little patience. I just checked, files are always there. Please try again a little later ! Regards, Olivier, Belgium. |

I remember that we tried to meet up at the café just after the gig, but the tenant said he didn't want to create a little "Queenzone-zone" in his café because there was too much people coming there usually after the show, so he prefered we met elsewhere in another café. But I stood at this café (it was on the corner, just in font of the hall) with Daffy for a moment, as we agreed with Jeroen to meet up there too. So I haven't met you, but I met Jeroen, it was a nice moment too ! Next time we'll plan that a little more in advance and this will go better. Maybe for Queen + Robert Plant 2011 tour ? ;o) Regards, Olivier, Belgium. |
