Video Messages: Brian made it clear that he would be spending this year concentrating on a book of stereo photographs (some of which will be his own queen pictures) and leaving music until next year. Roger, on the other hand, (sitting in a studio with a QPR concert being edited behind him...!) said he's started to collect together all of his solo material and he's going to "do something special" with it. He also said he has started writing new songs....!!!!!! I think it looks like Queen & Paul Rodgers is over, although that hasn't been said. There are two rumours going round. One states that Paul has pissed off Brian & Roger by not turning up to rehearsals and turning up just in time to go on stage, and the second is that Roger & Paul got pissed off with Brian for not wanting to rehearse new songs and other older material because his wrist gives him major pain and Brian didn't want to have to start learning new stuff. Greg Brooks didn't do an archive session this year. It WAS to have been some of the video footage they've found recently, but Queen Productions have decided not to let him show it because it will appear on the archive boxset - so it looks like that's still the plan at some point. Hopefully, if QPR really IS over (and with Roger getting his boxset ready), maybe we will soon see some real Queen again! On a final note, guest speakers were Barry Mitchell & Clayton Moss. |

In the QFC site has been said about the Convention: Queen "99% sure to be touring in 2010"!!! As said by Nigel, Roger's drum tech at the convention. So I hope, this will be a new Q+PR tour. |

Let Brian and Roger do solo albums, they'll sell better without Paul's name on them. |

well the solos havent sold too well yet |

If I was to remember correctly, Greg was also due to be doing some archive work between this month and last month, so that could also be another reason why he wasn't able to turn up. He hasn't replied to my e-mails as of late which is a bit unusual - he's usually pretty good about getting to it within a short span of time, so I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that something big is indeed in the pipelines for later this year, maybe 2010. |

He also said he has started writing new songs....!!!!!! Best news I've heard in a L O N G time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With luck, we'll get a stand-alone The Cross archive set too - I'd like to see all three studio albums re-issued with additional material like single / 12" mixes, extended versions and out-takes. Then a stand-alone Cross Live release taking in their entire career up to Gosport. As for the QPR rumors, I'd be inclined to believe the latter. I hope in many ways that it's true, but it's a sad state of affairs when such seasoned veterans can't manage to get something that should work together enough after almost three years of being able to work on it and nothing else. |

Is that Japanese footage footage from 1979? I really hope that if they release Hammy'79 that it will be the complete show! |

I'm fairly sure it's safe to assume that any live DVD/Blu-ray/CD Queen puts out will be complete. It's just moreso a question will they NOT overdub it/'fix' it? |

I asked this question because having 2 full 1979 concerts would be really something:-) It's essential material. What I would like to see is a DVD set with the complete Hammy show and as many bits as possible from Paris. I would only release the Hammy show on cd. That show should be the main focus since it's Queen at their very best. |

From what I know they may use Paris/Hammy to make ONE show. Yes the Japan stuff is from '79, 3 nights worth what I saw of it, but not one complete night. |

Combining Hammy and Paris? Shows from different tours! That would be totally crappy. That would be a huge disappointment for me. Why can't they just release Hammermsith Odeon 26/12/79 as 1 show on 1 dvd then? |

Don't do this to me, man :) A 2 DVD set with the full Hammy 79 on disc 1 and a "best of 79" compilation on disc 2 would be a dream come true |

Greg WAS there - he just didn't do a session. |
